Tunnocks

I have seen it quoted on here for many years that Tunnocks are to be supported as they support women's rights. I have looked on their website and social media and can see nothing to support this rumour. Does anyone have any evidence? Thanks.

Whilst the teacake is not my favourite personally (I mean I love them but I love other Tunnock's products more!) I have been thinking on the matter of a Tunnock's TEACAKE

The teacake is
Eminently the crown
Atop the rest of the
Chocolatey empire
At Uddingston
Kept there by people
Everywhere loving them.

The delivery driver from the vast South American named internet retailer arrived just now with some dark chocolate teacakes. I’ve never had them before and I have to say I’m now a fan. Unfortunately they got squished a bit during transit, but on the plus side that meant all the calories leaked out of the broken dome and I can eat more.

Personally, the last teacake I had (earlier this year) appeared to have gone the way of all chocolate, and was simply meh.

Still, keeps the pounds off. But kids today will never know what they lost.

Arghh I was going to go cold turkey after yesterday’s lunch being teacakes and more teacakes but I stupidly clicked on this thread again and the cravings have started.

Moving onto the SNOWBALL I find they are

Slightly different from a teacake
No biscuit base though
Otherwise the same except for
Wispy bits of coconut
Beautifully attached, in the main,
All over the outside
Lots fall off during eating, but are
Licked off the wrapper at the end.

Heading towards my favourite in second place for me is the CARAMEL LOG.

Can eat these for ever
And a day.
Reminiscent of the wafer
A different coating
Makes this delicious.
Enveloped in a
Liberal sprinkling of

Lovely roasted coconut
Oh boy do they make a mess
Gorgeous though!

For me though the most wonderful of Tunnock's products is the CARAMEL WAFER

Can’t get enough of these
A whole pack of 4
Remain uneaten for
About five minutes
Mouthful after mouthful
Eventually all eaten and I’m
Left with a multitude of

Wrappers that I hoard
Aware that I’ll never actually
Fathom what to do with them
Even so in the drawer they go as a
Reminder of my love.

The way you eat creme eggs is very similar to the way my cat eats mice. She bites a hole in the top (it's actually the tummy, but they are lying deadly on their backs, so the tummy is the top). Then she sucks out the guts, then crunches up the head and then the rest of the mouse in two big bites. Always leaves the tail, for some reason.

It has put me off creme eggs for life.

Still pacing my cell. But I managed to eat another fake caramel wafer, this time slowly enough to take a photo.

I have never had the pleasure of seeing how mine eats them. I just occasionally find an internal organ, a cute little paw or a tail lying on the floor as proof of death.

I wouldn't call it a "pleasure", exactly...

Interesting that yours also leaves the tail. I suppose I should count myself lucky that there are no other body parts to step on in the kitchen. At least the tail is dry.

As a side by side comparison there's not much difference is there

I suppose the tail isn't particularly tasty.

The other cat just eats the head and leaves the rest of the headless corpse right by where i put my feet when i get put of bed. I prefer the tidy cat version!

Funny how they always try and involve us in their crimes. Make us complicit, somehow...

Honestly, its a fucking tea cake. Good on Tunnocks for ignoring any criticism.

On a completely non Tunnocks related matter for some unknown reason my tablet has today decided that rather than load the last week or two worth of emails it will load every email I've never deleted. It's currently on 20460 and it's reached the emails for vote for Jeremy Corbin as leader of the Labour party! I feel like I've fallen into some time tunnel.

I don't know if your laptop is Windows, Apple or one of the weird modern operating systems but it is clearly not pro-Tunnocks.

Our household is now in the throes of a Tunnocks caramel wafer obsession. Dd is taking one on a school trip in a token protest against the alphabetti they serve up there with the kool- aid. Ds is also on a school trip but he's 8 and his school is Catholic and doesn't serve alphabetti or kool aid thankfully. They both adore Tunnocks tea cakes. What's not to love! Well the eggs in the marshmallow but I buy them for the children.

Mmmm caramel log. Although the full size ones were out of stock AGAIN!! Sort it out T Tunnock Ltd.

Dh ate my last Caramel wafer. 😢😢😢
