I have seen it quoted on here for many years that Tunnocks are to be supported as they support women's rights. I have looked on their website and social media and can see nothing to support this rumour. Does anyone have any evidence? Thanks.

OK so now we're going medical.

I'm not convinced that haggis will cure a hangover. I do know that a large bowl of half melted chocolate ice cream works.

Whisky and Benelyn is brilliant if you are dying from congestion. Just remember that you will be unconscious about 20 minutes after drinking it.

Can't wait until Super Dickmann shows up in the MCU.

Saw this today at the Royal Academy summer exhibition and thought of this thread Grin

I can imagine the discussion among the certification bods.

I have been known to frequent a cafe where my preferred lunch choice is a haggis & cheese toastie, they are super delish.

I am completely jealous of you. It's not FAIR! Nowt like that round here.

On the triple fried chips front, I once had "Thrice Fried Chips" in a pretentious pub. They listed the different frying media, with one being coconut oil.

They were .... disappointing .... I think they just tried too hard.

SidewaysOtter · 15/07/2023 07:42

There is no culinary disappointment like a bad chip. Coconut oil, had they taken leave of their senses?!

SinnerBoy · 15/07/2023 08:20

I think they must have, although I sometimes add a bit to the dripping for roast potatoes, which seems to work well with rosemary and thyme.

Somanyquestionstoaskaboutthis · 15/07/2023 10:07

Chips in coconut oil? 🤑

How have I gone through life having never enjoyed the oral orgasm experience of a warm melt in your mouth tunnocks teacake?!!
Found myself inside Sainsbury’s searching for the holy grail of yummyness on way home from work.
Found the teacakes, ate 4 on the way home, have had to ask partner to hide the other 16 and to give them out on a ration basis ( 2 boxes of course)
I AM MENT TO BE ON A DIET

Update- found 5 wrappers in the bin, demanded that the outstanding 11 be returned immediately ( have subsequently been eaten).
On a positive note have found dark chocolate and milk chocolate teacakes in local Home Bargain so have stocked up am now hiding them for personal consumption.

So let me get this right, you entrusted your stash to your partner who them ate them!

OMG.

LTTES

(Leave The Tunnocks Eating Sod)

Boiledbeetle · 15/07/2023 12:54

And I'm glad you are keeping the remaining ones safe in your stomach!

That's shocking, Apple, what disgraceful behaviour! Has he been told?

Well, I've found that putting a minus symbol, then a space before a word tabs it across!

Tricyrtis2022 · 16/07/2023 07:32

And you get a grey dot.

Treaclemine · 16/07/2023 09:19

My stash of Caramels dark and light is having to stay stashed. I've been diagnosed with diabetes and no-ones advised me on diet yet, so all stashed goodies have to stay stashed. I'm enjoying your enjoyment,

Oh Treacle sorry to hear that. Hopefully you still still be able to enjoy them at some point.

I had to admit defeat last night after spending most of my time since the shopping arrived on Thursday either swinging from the lights or slumped in a sugar hangover.

I've put the remaining items in a tin that is a Bastard to get the lid off and put them on top of a cupboard I can not easily reach.

I reckon that should slow me down a bit.

Similar to the one @WobblyLondoner shared, this one is knocking about near me apparently - something else to consider doing with your stash @Boiledbeetle ...

I like these balloon things.

So, someone mentioned much earlier about me ironing the caramel wafer wrappers. I hadn't, but decided to try ironing a few to get the creases out. At which point I discovered two things,

firstly the shiny front and the inside are two separate pieces, the foil and the greaseproof layer inside, and on ironing they come apart.

Secondly when ironing caramel wafers wrappers it is wise to use something other than your teatowel to protect the ironing board cover/ iron as this happens

I feel this is something that should be taught in schools.

Yeah, you made a bullet point grey dot.

I cant recreate so you'll have to take our word for it.

On the tunnocks front, I passed a shelf of them yesterday while shopping, managed to not cave, now desperately desire a tunnocks of any sort or flavour. Sigh, I'm meant to be cutting down go try to get rid of my menopause belly.
