This sounds horrendous. How can the police do this.

And yes, it was exactly as we predicted in the previous thread.

Should a certain police officer pop up in this thread, please try not to get drawn into protracted, repetitive arguments with him. Please!

That was last October

But what was the recent arrest for? And who was the reporting person?

We don't know yet - we have been over this a few times now - sorry if you are new to the discussion.

More importantly CF does not appear to know either......

No, I’m not new to the discussion.

I don’t think there has been a more recent arrest, only that CF’s solicitor received a unexpected date for a court hearing.

This is quite clearly in relation to stalking and malicious communications, given what is being demanded of CF in relation to her devices (as per CF Twitter thread).

There is a lot more going on also with civil cases.

Felix125 · 08/06/2023 16:52

Needmoresleep

CF would have been told what she has been arrested for. The circumstances would have been given again to the custody sergeant in her presence.

If/when she was interviewed, it would have again been explained to her.

If she had consultation with her solicitor, they would have explained it again.

If she was bailed, it will be on the bail sheet.

So she should be aware.

She was arrested again in April

For failing to attend an interview.

Were there new charges involved?

There are 22 pages in this thread so somebody else has probably already made this point... But you shouldn't have to prove that you're not a particular poster on KiwiFarms. It should be on them to prove that she is. Innocent until proven guilty. If you reverse that then a country goes to a bad place very quickly.

This is clearly vindictive.

And FWIW, I don't think someone should be prosecuted for what they say on KiwiFarms even it had been her. Assuming it's not literal libel and is just an opinion.

If I rememeber correctly it was for a meme.

Which was posted...at the same time as she was playing an organ in church...in front of a congregation.

SabrinaThwaite · 08/06/2023 17:11

Yes, I think it was for a meme too (I remember seeing it at the time).

We don't know, none of us know
We don't know if its related to the old case or if its an entirely new one
We don't know if its the same reporting person or someone completely new

We just don't know at this stage.

She also hasn't been charged with anything - the investigation is still ongoing.

Same disclaimer as before.....

DarkDayforMN · 08/06/2023 17:14

Wow, she is dastardly indeed. A bilocating supervillain! No wonder Surrey Police are pulling out all the stops.

Well, you know, either she can bilocate or a man is making false accusations. Gotta be the first one, right? I bet the cops are sad that ducking stools aren't legal any more, they clearly believe her to be a witch.

Felix125 · 08/06/2023 17:16

DarkDayforMN

Or this enquiry could be a completely new one - could even be a completely different reporting person.

IwantToRetire · 08/06/2023 17:19

Have only just had time to check back in on this thread.

As others have said the postponement, although likely to be incompetence, is making the process part of her punishment.

I am astonished that those who think they are on the side of the angels seem to want to suggest that although the police can be really vile, misogynistic, and all the rest, when they are behaving like this to someone they politically disapprove of, that's okay. Isn't there meant to be equality before the law.

And no I am not surprised that someone who has a religious belief might no support abortion, or homosexuality.

However, as has been expressed on many threads on FWR, many people, including lesbians and gay men, are against the LGBTQI agenda. To the extent that the LGB Alliance was created. Many are disgusted by how the use of the LGBTQI tag seems to be a cover to influence children, and are against the performative female derogatory Pride style expantion of drag acts into libaries etc..

If you dont even understand the analysis of those you are arguing against, how can you begin to think that anything you say will be listened to.

So the comment about CF having said part of her postion was to oppose the influence of the LGBTQI* on children doesn't seem to me that surprising.

As I said, read the threads on FWR.

This isn't about whether she is a saint, or a scrupulously correct feminist.

This is about what seems to be an abuse of the legal system by an individual targetting a woman.

And that the police are apparently willingly enabling this (at a time that the Government has said police time should not be given to these sort of complaints).

Another aspect that I mentioned in an earlier post on this thread, that even if you are from a "respectable, white, middle class family" (ie assumed not to warrant the attention of the police) it can happen that because of the culture in the local police station, if someone from that family has antogonised a member of that police force, you can become the target of them. Or if you have been publicly rude about them on SM. So I have no reason to suppose this is what is happening here, but again another depressing fact of life in relation to who any of us can rely on.

Felix125 · 08/06/2023 17:30

IwantToRetire

The postponement or adjournment is quite normal in this process.

Police present the proposals for the order to the court. The court look at and either dismiss it or accept that there is a necessity for it.

They then ask the subject (CF in this case) - Do you accept this order yes/no

yes - then the order is put in place and the person is told the conditions straight away.

no - then the case is adjourned for a set period of time whilst the subject can present their defence to it.

So just because its adjourned it doesn't mean its incompetence

IwantToRetire · 08/06/2023 17:30

Note! the bolding in my post was not done by me - so not sure what happened ...

Upthread it was said the bench were unimpressed at not having been sent Caroline's submissions by the police

You used the asterisk symbol twice - it automatically puts everything between then in bold.

Felix125 · 08/06/2023 17:36

IwantToRetire

Ah ok

We don't normally submit them in the early hearings - perhaps its different in this court

Felix125 · 08/06/2023 17:43

IwantToRetire

Mind-you - have the police been given anything by Caroline to submit?

It could be that the police could not make any submissions as there was nothing presented from her defence to submit at this stage. Did she make a 'no reply' interview for example without any disclosures or defence statements.

They might have been unimpressed - but if its not there to disclose, we can't disclose it.

Dumbo12 · 08/06/2023 17:48

I am amazed that a member of a different force is aligning themselves with this behaviour, while constantly saying " we don't know".

Felix125 · 08/06/2023 17:50

Dumbo12

I'm not 'aligning' myself with anyone or anything

I am saying we don't know what she has been arrested for - which we don't

IwantToRetire · 08/06/2023 17:55

You used the asterisk symbol twice

mumsnet and their astericks - I didn't know that, nor the time when it created a bullet list because I used an asterick.

Will try harder to remember mumsnetthink.

DollyParkin · 08/06/2023 18:00

She has very extreme religious views is against gay rights as well as trans rights, she is against abortion too.

She isn't being pursued as a "dangerous extremist" and treated b the police as if she were a stalker, for her views on abortion or homosexuality, though, is she?

It just bemuses me, that it's the issue of women telling the truth about sex that is such a flashpoint. Why is that? Hmm

Really, they should never have allowed women to go to school past the age of 8. That's when the rot set in.
