I wonder if the PP has realised that they've probably increased traffic to the site 😁

That’s why I thought it might be .Josh's mum.

Moreover, how does KF's 'preserve everything' attitude sit with the internet 'right to be forgotten'? I know that they have exposed a lot of criminal behaviour of TRAs that the MSM have ignored,

I suspect this is Joy's worry. KF doesn't forget.

What? I'm strongly GC, as you can tell from the rest of my post history. And I certainly opposed to child abuse and whatever other illegal activities Keffals & co were doing...

I get that people here have been trolled by TRAs a lot and are rightly suspicious. But why is it so difficult for people to believe someone can support KF's GC & CSA fight but have concerns about other aspects of the site? No, I don't want it to be removed, that's not the same thing.

Two posters who've been on MN for two weeks at most, similar username types and scoldy writing styles.

Total coincidence I'm sure.

What other poster? I only have one account as MNHQ can verify.

BMEZINE was people sharing their own body mods with other likeminded people, no mocking. I didn’t find it shocking because I was an adult and I already knew that world pretty well, albeit I’ve always been more involved with the tattoo side of it rather than the tongue splitting or modern fakir hook-hanging stuff.

Rotten wasn’t my personal idea of a good time but no, I didn’t find it particularly shocking (but then a lot of the material shared was historical, rather than happening in real time). Also, it was all still images back then and most of the material came from crime scene investigations or foreign press (I was shocked that images that I saw via Rotten were published on the front pages of mainstream tabloid news papers in various South American countries though, because obvs kids can see newsstands).

The problem with exposing minors to graphic or adult material is it shapes how their brains develop.

I don't think this is right. You can't just excuse rape & dismemberment threats by saying that was typical back then or just being edgy. Look at all the vile threats TRAs send out. People can't just use 'edgy/joke' etc as an excuse for that kind of thing...

Namelessnelly · 15/09/2025 07:29

Well they shouldn't be able to! Surely graphic rape & death threats are illegal on places like X?

Oh no. And not just on X. In real life.snd on Reddit. So unless you’re going to condone Reddit as well?

Yes, and on Reddit and lots of other places. The enforcement is the key.

Try reporting a post that calls for the death of JKR on Reddit, while posting a response saying sex is immutable and relevant.

See which gets removed.

Tomato, tomato.

Live another 30 years and you might be a bit more forgiving about the stupid shit people do when they are young.

Besides, you don’t have any proof that your accusation is real.

No, I cannot tell. But then I'm very good at reading between the lines.

love it or loath it, I think what’s great about KF is that they don’t have a political ‘angel’ as such. They’re stance seems to be if you are acting like an idiot/your ideology is idiotic, we’ll take the piss.

A forum that has a very active thread about the idiocy of Trump while also documenting the experimental butchery that often occurs under the banner of GRS gets my vote.

Feminism is political, apoliticism is a myth peddled by either the evil or the ignorant. Which one are you?

KF isn't and doesn't claim to be a feminist site, so that's irrelevant. Feminists are allowed to like stuff other than feminism.

It's a site for laughing at stupid stuff people put about themselves online, that's all.

Never said KF was feminist, Never said that feminism wasn’t political. Which means that that you are likely to be the stupid/ignorant one in this.

If you read only that which you agree completely, I’m amazed you frequent or think positively of MN either….

However, viewing your post history, I question the intent with which you make your post as you do appear to post to insult/gain a reaction. I hope I have satisfied that need in my response.

Jersh was close to giving up on it when the Keffals thing happened and it was the attempts to close it down that made him dig his heels in to keep it open.

I hope he does take the UK to court though, the UK safety act is being used to block pictures of Mary Poppins drinking tea for fucks sake. It is utterly ludicrous.

Preston Byrne is representing all the US sites targeted by Ofcom pro bono and seems to be enjoying every minute of it.

'We're Going to DESTROY the Online Safety Act': Meet the Top Lawyer Waging War on Ofcom
20 Nov 2025 - The Guido Fawkes Show Interviews

Preston Byrne joined Adam Cherry on the Guido Fawkes Show this week to explain how he he's taking on the Ofcom bullies over their abuse of the Online Safety Act. Byrne is representing 4chan in their fight against Ofcom in the US courts after the regulator tried whacking the site with a £20,000 fine earlier this year. As Guido reported yesterday, 4chan has retaliated with a lawsuit of their own...

Byrne also reveals how he and his colleagues have filed a bill in the state of Wyoming to build a 'pro-free speech Death Star' piece of legislation to stop the likes of Ofcom playing these games again. Read the draft bill here (link below). Ofcom are still claiming they have 'sovereign immunity' in this fight. Byrne isn't having it.

Ofcom Declares “Sovereign Immunity” From 4Chan Lawsuit
19 Nov 2025
The broadcasting watchdog-turned online sheriff Ofcom has declared it has “sovereign immunity” from a lawsuit filed by US-based site 4chan, after the site sued the regulator for violating its First Amendment protections. It is the latest in a free speech clash sparked by (what else?) the Online Safety Act, which Ofcom used to fine 4chan £20,000 earlier this year. A fine 4chan is refusing to pay…
In response to 4chan’s latest counterattack, Ofcom filed a notice in federal court in DC:

“Ofcom is a UK public regulatory authority and has substantial grounds for seeking dismissal of this lawsuit based on sovereign immunity.”

4chan’s lawyers argue that since Ofcom operates as a “commercial enterprise” , it should not benefit from sovereign immunity. Ofcom, meanwhile, still insists 4chan is not protected by the First Amendment and is demanding the cash. It’s all out war…

How can Ofcom both have the power to impose fines on foreign websites operating outside the U.K. and also claim “sovereign immunity” from legal claims?

The Ofcom Files, Part 2: IP Blocking the UK is Not Enough to Comply with the Online Safety Act
Posted on November 6, 2025

This post goes into detail about Ofcom's strategy in taking as its primary target a very small and very controversial US forum. Not the Bird Bath and not the one with the number in the name but one that is much better suited to get public backing for legislators who are against free speech and for Ofcom.

It's excellent timing to go on the attack leveraging a narrative that the UK government are trying to restrict our speech to replace it with lies from the BBC.

Needmoresleep · 24/11/2025 10:36

Going off topic a little, but OFCOM seem to be taking quite an assertive stance more generally. We were at a party earlier in the year with a lawyer who helped represent OfCom in the GB News case. They were shocked they had lost, but if I understood it right all that had happened is that one of GB News presenters, Jacob Rees-Mogg, had read out some breaking news during his current affairs programme. Perhaps it should not have happened, but in terms of bias, it did not seem a major sin. From what was said I picked up an impression that GB News deserved to be subject to greater scrutiny than, say, the BBC.

There was a lot wrong with the old establishment, but we now seem to have a new establishment with influence through our public sector who have replaced independent and critical thought with an uncompromising belief system.

I hate that I live in a world where people think it's ok to try and cancel things they don't like. "Ohhh he's a neo-Nazi don't you know?"
What is a neo-Nazi ? As far as I can tell it means he may not wear a Nazi uniform, or goose-step around, or hate jews, but you hate him, so you're going to call him the worst thing you can think of. The neo prefix sounds like wiggle room in a lawsuit. I'm not brave enough to call him a Nazxi and be done with it, I might get in trouble, so I'll stick this little neo get of jail free prefix in the front.
So much cowardly venom from snivelling virtue signalling midwits. You disgust me.
In 1977 Illinois Nazis wanted to march in Skokie Illinois. Not wishy washy neo I'm too scared to be up front idiots, but actual Nazi uniform wearing, goose-stepping, real, literal Nazi idiots. The ACLU defended their first amendment rights to do so. The very definition of free speech, when you defend the rights of people who you most vehemently disagree with because rights apply to everyone, not just the people you agree with. There's a documentary about it "Mighty Ira" the nickname of the ACLU head Ira Glasser who was brought up in a Jewish houshold. That's the kind of world I want to live in, where a civil society upholds the rights of everyone, even the worst members of society, because once we pick and choose who gets rights anyone's rights can be taken away for any reasion.
Ira Saul Glasser will long be remembered for standing up for other people's rights, a champion of others. Those who engage in the snivelling snide side sniping, guilt by assoication, and standinbg for nothing more than following the herd orthodoxy will be remembered for nothing more than their cowardice and refusal to have any personal principals least it get them in trouble. Grow a fucking spine.
