For those of who are aware of the Tickle vs Giggle court case in Australia, Sall Grover is looking for some gardening to be done to support her defence. The deplorable response of politicians and the press in Australia to the Let Women Speak rallies, only emphasises how important this case will be.

Just search Giggle crowd fund - she has set up her own site to avoid any potential censorship by the established sites

Thanks for letting me know. It turned out to be very easy donating to the crowdfunder, and you get just short of 2 Aussie dollars for each GP pound, which somehow made it feel like my meagre contribution was a bit bigger.
I really hope sanity prevails, because Australian women, and particularly Australian lesbians, deserve their own private spaces, without preening blokes turning up and crowing like cocks on a dung heap, insisting on disrupting the conversations, demanding their attention and validation.

One thing from the articles that was interesting was that this character (and yes, someone user a stripper name is a character) saying that women treat him like a woman and that’s what makes him a woman.

I’ve seen posters mention related concepts related to this here when asked why using a person’s preferred but incorrect pronouns is a problem. It’s a rather compelling reason that using accurate pronouns does matter when you hear it directly from the horse’s mouth like this.

Thanks for this - just donated. The fund isn't looking that healthy - I’d encourage people to chip in! It’s just unbelievable that lesbians are not allowed a single space to meet other females without male people butting in. There are so many spaces for “inclusive” lesbians - why not allow some spaces for women who don’t want penises! So infuriating!

From what I can make out they were arguing about whether the case should proceed at all and how much money the losing party should have on standby to pay the winners cost if they are told to. That is what we find out on June 2.

The decision on whether this matter will proceed is out - Sall will have to defend this claim. I feel bad for her having to go through this but on the plus side having this question determined by the courts will at least provide clarity on way or the other.
And as a lawyer, I just know every future law student will love citing Tickle v Giggle.

“Justice Bromwich, having reserved his decision on matters heard on the 28th of April 2023, has today the 1st of June 2023, granted leave for the case to proceed. Our defence will be in part, a constitutional challenge. We are expecting to know relevant court dates soon. Stay tuned for updates.”

Really enjoyed listening to her discussion with Julie Bindel on JB podcast. Also caught her talking on the radio the other morning and sent a donation. Brilliant she has been able to set up her own crowdfunding platform to avoid having her fundraising efforts pulled in the way other feminists raising money to fight cases have had crowdfunders withdrawn. I hope at some time in the future she can make that platform available for other women in an existential fight.
