They is suing the U.K. government to become neither male nor female after op to create cavity...

I don't want to link to the article (DM) or write this person's name as I'm sure they're keeping an eye everywhere.

Basically there's a case reported in the U.K. family courts with someone who kept male genitalia and had surgery to create a "fully functioning" cavity. Person wants to legally be recognised as non binary because they feel a bit male and a bit female.

I'd like to know if this person can define what "woman feelings" are and how they're different from "man feelings". I'd also like to be reassured that this person isn't bringing a transphobic case by reducing identity to genitals.

And I'd like to know why this even ended up in court in the first place. If I feel a little bit cat-like and get one surgically altered to be like a fully functioning cat ear, or get my fingers amputated on one hand to make it like a "fully functioning" paw, can I be legally recognised by my new semi-feline gender?

They is a non-menstruating cavity-haver.

Sounds like the same person. They had surgery previously to create a "vagina" so their body aligns with their gender identity of not having a gender...

Surely, if anything, they should be "bigender" not gender nonbinary?

Ooh? Have I just created the eleventy-billion-and-oneth gender?!

'Bigender' sounds like Swift's egg war in Gulliver's Travels

I call April Fool. There is no way there is room to keep male kit and rectum and insert a pseudo vaginal hole in the perineum.

No, not an April's Fool, all the pity. The article in question was posted a few days ago too.

The term for this kind of whatever it is is Salmacian - it's an alt-sex identity, something I hadn't heard of until today, and tbh, wish I had remained ignorant

scramblescrabble · 01/04/2023 18:10

@crosstalk

Taken from the Reddit forum of the same name: 'Salmacian is an altersex identity defined by having a desire for a mixed genital set. It can also be referred to as "bigenital", with the most common presentation being a desire for both a penis and a vagina.'

People talk about old age but I very much doubt many people like this will reach old age. Surely they will get complications before then and die of sepsis or complications from repeated UTI's, depending on what kind of surgery they've had? The body isn't meant to be messed around with like this and these people are taking a huge risk.

There is a trans woman called Ruby Fiera who sets up lots of account on TikTok and despite initial complications, this individual seems to have had a period of time working quite 'happily' (ahem) as a sex worker. They have then recently been in hospital with serious infections and sepsis and that was just from their breast implants, which isn't as risky an addition to the male body as genital alterations. Travel 20-30 years down the line and there are going to be a lot of people who've been through these surgeries dying of complications. It's such a mess.

One of the words I wish I hadn’t read was “ pergina”.

This is from 2020 and so this has been happening for a while. A fully functional vagina created by using a scrotal skin graft, imagine that if you dare.

Penile-Preserving Vaginoplasty
For some individuals, preservation of the penis is desired, while also creating a fully functional vagina. With Penile-Preserving Vaginoplasty, the vagina can be created using a scrotal or other skin graft, or peritoneal tissue.

Non-Binary Options For Bottom Surgery

There's an increasing number of Gender Surgeons who offer individualized treatment options for non-binary people seeking bottom surgery.

It's not "fully functioning". It's not able to stretch, it's not self-cleaning and it doesn't self-lubricate. It's a surgically created hole that needs dilating or it will heal over.

ArcaneWireless · 01/04/2023 19:55

Fully functioning hole?

One could posit the notion that they mean shite comes out of this new one as well, given that it is happening with the two holes they already have.

Faffertea · 01/04/2023 20:13

There is no record of sex or gender on a death certificate in the U.K. so presumably they mean whether they are registered as m/f when they die. Which is historical data and used to recognise trends and inform public policy.

The vagina is intrinsically linked through its neural pathways to the uterus and vulva. Any woman who’s had a period, had an orgasm or given birth vaginally knows that. Which is why these men think a surgically created hole is equivalent. They have no idea.

I was in the Vulva clinic this week. I wonder what the excellent doctor, who is down the stirrup end having a really close look and it's on camera, would make of one of these. I reckon she'd be checking her breakfast mushrooms

PatatiPatatras · 01/04/2023 23:19

Fully functioning cavity? Mouth, ear, eye socket, gums?
There are a few non lubricating cavities...

WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll · 02/04/2023 10:30

This is like advertising for sale a 'fully functioning car' - meaning that you can open the doors and sit inside - but then believing the potential purchasers to be simply quite mad when they ask about an engine, and even more bonkers when they come out with the bizarre expectation that they'd be able to make it move, as if that would possibly be a basic function of a standard car.

Don't be ridiculous: it's FULLY functioning, which clearly means that it's.... not really functioning at all except on a superficial level.

FourTeaFallOut · 02/04/2023 11:22

nilsmousehammer · 02/04/2023 11:22

The only perceived function is a hole in which a real human can stick their dick.

If it isn't being useful to a man, it's not worth noticing.

I’m moving into in the second half of my life now, and in all seriousness, I’m feeling increasingly glad that I’m not going to be around to see how much madder this can all get. I just can’t cope with the horror of it any more. It’s the ultimate in despair. Imagine embracing nullification as the thing you want most in the world, your whole reason for being. It’s beyond comprehensible to me.

And as for all the surgeons absolutely queueing up to perform it, in exchange for a handsome fee of course, well…..words fail.

ArcaneWireless · 02/04/2023 14:26

I feel exactly the same @Zeugma

Just as I think I’ve heard it all, someone else lowers the bar even more.

Yes, it’s the surgeons (and the puberty blocker prescribers to children) who trouble me most. I watched a 12-minute film of an American surgeon describing vaginoplasty techniques (I was waiting to see illustrative photos but they never came) and despite dressing it up as “information to help you choose” it was basically an advert for herself and her expertise and qualifications as a specialist surgeon.

Backstreets · 02/04/2023 15:05

The fully functioning pictures 🤣

at some point we’re going to have to deal with the way online porn drives increasing amounts of men insane
