I don't want to link to the article (DM) or write this person's name as I'm sure they're keeping an eye everywhere.

Basically there's a case reported in the U.K. family courts with someone who kept male genitalia and had surgery to create a "fully functioning" cavity. Person wants to legally be recognised as non binary because they feel a bit male and a bit female.

I'd like to know if this person can define what "woman feelings" are and how they're different from "man feelings". I'd also like to be reassured that this person isn't bringing a transphobic case by reducing identity to genitals.

And I'd like to know why this even ended up in court in the first place. If I feel a little bit cat-like and get one surgically altered to be like a fully functioning cat ear, or get my fingers amputated on one hand to make it like a "fully functioning" paw, can I be legally recognised by my new semi-feline gender?

That vagina is a dead end, a cul de sac, a blind alley, a ginnel that leads nowhere. There is no uterus pot of gold at the end of that rainbow.

Chromosomes on the other hand, just do what it says on the tin.

Justme56 · 01/04/2023 13:45

I remember seeing this in the wpath guide under non binary. Looks like a shopping list of alternatives from nulification, to creating a cavity whilst maintaining a penis, to creating a cavity whilst keeping the testicles. I think whatever isn’t wanted creates the cavity. I think surgeons will do whatever people ask as long as they get paid.

Helleofabore · 01/04/2023 14:07

i do remember reading about the nullification operations as well. It is grim that people feel that this is a healthy choice.

Hence their use of the word 'hole' rather than vagina. It has all the functions that that kind of misogynist can possibly think might matter. In fact, it wouldn't surprise me at all if some of them see their 'hole' as superior to a vagina, because it enables all of the 'fun' stuff without all of the less-fun things that come with having a normal female one.

"Fully functioning"

There are some good responses on this Twitter thread:

Amazing how many people are blocked from they themself’s Twitter despite never having heard of they themself before.

Sadly this is a whole thing and there are lunatics playing playdough with their genitals and surgeons who enable them.

Front page safe, be careful clicking thread links

Sometimes you think I'll just click on this link, I mean how bad can it be!?!

Sigh.

Some people need to find a hobby that doesn't involve "me me me me me and only me".

I despair of the human race!

TheSandgroper · 01/04/2023 15:03

What @Boiledbeetle said but more … something.

It reminds me of being at 6th form college and listening to tedious 'alternative' types going on and on and onnnnnnn about the body mods they were going to get when they had the cash, and how cool and unique they would be once they finally got their bumhole pierced.

Having seen the diagram helpfully posted on an earlier page of this thread, I too am very curious to know exactly where this “fully-functioning hole” could be.

I'm beginning to wonder if he was conned. Someone took his money, knocked him out for a couple of hours and on awaking persuaded him his arsehole was now a vagina?

I suspect that if confronted with the reality, there wouldn’t be enough brain bleach in the entire universe to unsee it.

Heh, my very first thought on seeing this thread was “what’s wrong with your arsehole?” At least it has a few sexy nerve endings.

I can't believe a surgeon would commit this atrocity. Creating a wound that will probably need regular dilation with the possibility of infections/sepsis.

exactly and where is this ‘hole’ to go? Let him do anal if he wants.

Working in geriatric care will be hell in years to come @Helleofabore
People with sagging bits of silicone in various areas, festering old wounds, fetishists demanding that their personal care includes regular dilations, people with dementia who have forgotten they changed sex and are even more confused, rampant incontinence due to all the failed genital surgeries and even more osteoporosis from all the poor young women who went through menopause before they'd even gone through puberty.

Glad I won't be around for it.

So true and trying to find a partner without modification will be a nightmare. You won’t be able to tell just by looking anymore. So glad I’m too old now for this crap.

Helleofabore · 01/04/2023 16:37

Remember that this 'hole' is most likely constructed with intestines to with all the complications that go with that.

viques · 01/04/2023 16:50

Ok, I confess, I followed through and found someone’s post op pictures. Not quite what I expected, a lot more shifting of stuff around and joining bits up. But it was an ugly and uncomfortable looking mess at the end, and I think anyone voluntarily choosing to do it has greater problems with what is between their ears rather than what is between their bum and their balls.

SmartHome · 01/04/2023 17:00

Surely there is not enough space to put a cavity big enough to accommodate a male erect penis that is being thrust in and out vigourously, which is presumably the end goal here? That sounds incredibly likely to end in some sort of rupture.

I found some pictures too. Not quite what I imagined but to be fair, am not sure what I expected. Agree that it's an ugly and uncomfortable looking mess in the end. (Was also surprised by how small all the men's phalluses were, but that's a whole other topic).

Am disgusted that there are surgeons who will perform this kind of modification. Except it's not really modification, it's brutalisation and experimentation. Am sure some will argue that it is better an actual doctor performs surgery like this than a layman, which has happened in a few instances, particularly with regards to nullification. But this kind of surgery has no merit or value, again, I know some will argue to the contrary, but there is no long-term study of what the repercussions are. I guess that's the power of money - they can charge stupidly high fees for this, when really I think the money would be far better spent on psychological care.

Do they keep the bollocks?

Justme56 · 01/04/2023 17:13

Part of me wonders what has happened to this person in their past life to do this to themselves.
