As a Christian who enjoys pointing out to those who preach the "prosperity gospel" that the early church practiced a form of communism, this cheers me up enormously.

I've considered myself more left-wing/Old Labour than New Labour for a very long time, but always voted for them as the least-worst mainstream party that at least paid lip service to the causes of social justice. I may have to start looking at the communist manifesto a bit more closely.

The Communist Manifesto by Marx and Engels, however, explicitly states that communism will end all private properties and also that people don’t know their own good and must be forced to live in Communist societies. Even if they don’t want to, because they don’t know their own best interest.

In that respect Mao and Stalin and the N-Korean dude got communism dead right.
