The murderer who came in and killed 3 children and 3 adults is trans and called Audrey, I am confused as to their biological sex.

Sky News are still saying transwoman. I'm confused

These things happen every day in America. It's the 87th day of the year and this is the 128th mass shotting this year. It's so commonplace as to be completely unremarkable.

Obviously people are going to be concerned with the less commonplace, every day part of the thing. Mass shooters are male, almost exclusively. The fact this one is a woman is the most remarkable thing about it. The fact that it was a woman identifying as a male makes it particularly interesting thing.

If you don't get that, that's a failure on your part.None of us have lost the plot, we all know what we are talking about and why.

I'm sorry but I don't see that them shooting this mass murderer was a bad thing at all. They acted reasonably to prevent any more slaughterings.

When are guns going to be banned in the USA and when is this woke society going to wake up and realise that these kid’s identifying as transgender or non binary are most often suffering from mental health issues!

So so so awful. It's just about unimaginable here, but happens so much in the US that it's almost not shocking anymore.

In these situations it’s often referred to as’ death by cop’. If the perpetrator comes at the police with an assault weapon and instigates a shootout, what else are they supposed to do ? I suppose in states where they have the death penalty, the result will eventually be the same, except that the tax payer will be saved a lot of money and the lawyers will be poorer for it !! To be honest I can’t find it in myself to have much sympathy for the fate of someone who would commit such an horrendous act.

There are more guns in the USA than people. Even if you banned guns and held an amnesty, there is no way any government would get even half out of circulation.

That struck me. When a mtf trans person commits a serious crime, they're a 'woman' with she/her pronouns. When a ftm trans person commits a serious crime they're a woman.

That's kinda my point. It is, literally, an arms race that ends up with law enforcement killing its own populace. It's horrendous.

I remember the shock and disbelief after the events in Dunblane 1996 - 16 students and a teacher died. The UK hasn’t seen one since, because parents in Dunblane organised themselves and by the following year Parliament had banned private ownership of most handguns and semi automatic weapons, and introduced mandatory registration for shotgun owners. Something that gun control activists in the USA aren’t able to effectively achieve because they’re up against the NRA, whose reaction to the latest shooting is to suggest that school guards are armed. So the answer to the gun problem in their eyes - more guns !!
