Boycott New Zealand

Let's hit the state sanctioned violence against women where it hurts - in their pockets.

Off the top of my head:

Wine - Oyster Bay, Villa Maria, the Ned, Wairau Cove, Brancott Eatate, Cloudy Bay
Lamb - check the label to make sure it's British
Manuka honey and ordinary honey - M&S stock quite a few.
Wool
Allbirds shoes
Canterbury clothing.

Have I missed anything?

Also write to the PM: [email protected]
Minister for trade: [email protected]

And tell them you're boycotting and why. There's no point if they don't know you're doing it!

Forcing strong opinions on others will never end well. Let's try to be a little more respectful of others, and engage in more mature conversation.

///

What I and many other posters love about MN is that in a one of the few spaces where GC women can talk about our concerns openly. We've all seen how much this discussion (and let's be clear it's not just about bloody loos it's about other age spaces, women missing out on sports and leadership opportunities and so so importantly. - safeguarding ... ALL of this is more important than feelings) has led to women being -

Denied a platform to speak and meet publicly,
Sacked from their jobs for wrong think
Doxed
Threats of violence and death to their families

So to talk of being respectful, engaging and being mature ... I'm seeing the exact opposite come from the TRA position.

KJK on Fox News, bigging up Elon Musk makes me want to vom.

Violence at rallies is clearly disgraceful but backing anyone who courts right-wing press is not OK to me, either.

There's an emerging air of Katie Hopkins about Kelly and it does not sit right.

It's entirely possible to not agree with an individual on everything, of course. In fact if we all waited for a spokeswoman for hose views always aligned entirely with our own we'd be waiting forever.

In the meantime women and girls will lose safe spaces, life opportunities and have safeguarding protection removed.

Theses things are too important to wait for the Perfect Person, damage is being done now

There's always a bit with progressives.

Your anti violence is conditional on who a woman talks to?

I guess you would be too busy vomiting up your sanctimony to notice a mob of men trying to kill a woman.

Let me help Posie Parker speak again

Here is the verbatim transcript from about 9.40 mins in on “The cowardice of women and the stupidity of the police

” We remember a creepy man how they made us feel and now we're telling our daughters don't worry love – he calls himself a woman!

We knew when we were younger that those were the creepiest of men! We knew it!

We could say it!

Nobody rang the bloody police about it because the police knew it! We knew!

(At this point Posie Parker make entirely unevidenced claims about serial killers, sexual fetishes and autogynephiles.)

And now suddenly they are branded as stunning and brave and vulnerable – SOD OFF!

…........... Each and every woman that stands in my way - let me just tell you: You will be annihilated.”

Would posters here like to explain how this statement from Posie Parker is not prejudiced / bigoted?

Any why should New Zealand want someone like this speaking in their country?

Hey readers, here is the fuller transcript of what she said.

___

I am so sick of it.

When teachers are in front of those classrooms and they are obliterating the safeguarding of girls, I personally think that they are a safeguarding risk. I think they should be held to account. I don’t care who you are. I don’t care how long you have been teaching, I don’t care if it is the only way that you keep a roof over your head. It is only by your cowardice that this continues.

It is only by the cowardice of women in the police force, who damn well know that their superiors are autogynophiles, it is only by their cowardice that this continues.

If we all stood up and we pointed at the emperor’s penis, it would stop.
So many women are just too afraid, like come on!

What is it going to take? How many buckets of breast tissue do you need to see? How many girls do you need to know? How many girls do you need to know that they can no longer talk about what is unsafe? And what makes them feel unsafe because they are too afraid that they are going to be called unkind?

How many girls? A whole generation? Is that enough for you? Entire groups of children at university ?

Is that enough for you?

Does it have to be your own daughter before you will stand up and defend somebody? And even then, do you ?

Men, pretty bad. Right? Men, pretty bad. Unless a steaming pile of excrement is under their nose, they don’t smell it. But we women, we don’t smell it, we don’t taste it, we feel it. With every fibre of our bodies we feel it. We know it.
We remember it.

We remember a creepy man how they made us feel and now we're telling our daughters don't worry love – he calls himself a woman!

We knew when we were younger that those were the creepiest of men!

We knew it!

We could say it!

Nobody rang the bloody police about it because the police knew it!

We knew!

Way back a guy wrote a book about serial killing and often serial killers because serial killing is often a sexual kind of motivation. Starts with flashing, exposing one’s self, then it is minor sexual assault, then it is rape, then it is murder, that is how serial killing works. It is sexual fetish we know how strong they are. Often, those men were auto gynophiles.

We knew this. We knew it. The Police knew it. And now suddenly they have been rebranded as stunning and brave and vulnerable.

And now suddenly they are rebranded as stunning and brave and vulnerable – SOD OFF!

I am so sick and tired of the police now trying to persecute me, trying to catch me out, trying to charge me with a crime. Offer me a caution. For speaking about this stuff. And look. Look, I am a pretty strong woman. This takes up far too much of my god damn time.

I am so annoyed.

It is a woman doing it. Men don’t have to march upon our necks, they don’t have to put their hands around our throats, they get women to do it. And if women aren’t doing it directly, they are strangling us in other ways.

They are silencing us for not quite the ‘right message’. Not working with the ‘right people’. Not talking to the ‘right people’. Each and every one of you women who stand in my way.

Each and every one of you, let me just tell you, You will be annihilated. So if you want to stand in my way, be ready, ready, ready to watch the back of my arse as I walk away from you. As I walk ahead of you. You are eclipsed. Every single last one of you.

_

With some context I think we can see that she is certainly angry that women and girls are being inadequately safeguarded. She is saying that she thinks people who are supposed to be safeguarding and protecting women and girls are failing at their jobs.

She talks about how in the past, some ( and by the way, unless you are determined to make a very bad faith leap of interpretation here it is not 'all') males with sexual fetishes that exposed themselves to girls and women and other sexual acts, were recognised as 'creepy'. But now, those offenders are being enabled, and are very much getting harder for children and women to label as 'creepy' because children and women are having their sexual boundaries lowered.

She is obviously very upset that she has to deal with the police for something she still has not talked about.

And she is angry at a group of feminists who are trying to bully her into silence. For not quite the ‘right message’. Not working with the ‘right people’. Not talking to the ‘right people’.

And anniliated here certainly would have to be a very bad faith take to be read as physical destruction. She is talking about leaving them behind and forging ahead. So, quite clearly a literary device of hyperbole. Like we see used on this board very often.

Funny how some posters who use it probably will not recognise it.

I think it looks a bit different when the context is added back in, but I know that others will disagree.

nilsmousehammer · 27/03/2023 12:51

Thank you for returning the context!

Interesting how it needed selective editing in order to be able to prove a particular point.

Abhannmor · 27/03/2023 12:52

Critics of gender extremism here in Ireland are often accused of being agents of British Imperialism or stooges of Colonialism.

It's hard to make this stick on someone like Iseult White whose grandfather , Seán MacBride , was one of the founders of Amnesty International. Indeed her great grandfather was executed by the British for his role in the Easter Rising.

Still they keep on with the tiresome nasty smears . Come to think of it I don't recall seeing the Taryns and Lilliths of this world when I was on Troops Out marches , though plenty of gay men and lesbians were there.

But I guess it's only a matter of time before we learn a transwoman fired the first shot in Dublin. Or at Eureka Stockade.

Alondra · 27/03/2023 12:53

No worries Kiwis, this is MN as its finest. Let's bash NZ (as Australia is every month) for

their politics
their people
their creepy crawlies
their climate

Considering the UK is in a mess with stagnant wages, impossibility of getting a face to face GP consultation, people turned away from A&E without a minimum of tests (which should have done by the GP anyway)

They have problems with having enough pharmacists and getting prescriptions without a problem. They have problems with ambulances that never arrive.

Their social fabric is crumbling but let's bash NZ. It's so fucking ridiculous, it's beyond hilarious.

.

TrombonesAreNotBones · 27/03/2023 12:57

Alondra I see you still have nothing to say about that poor elderly woman punched in the face twice by a man. I shall not press you further on this, your silence is eloquent, thank you.

Posters are so defensive they can’t condemn violent footage.

Violence of men against women. It won’t wash. We can all see the footage here.

Interesting how it needed selective editing in order to be able to prove a particular point.

Let's not bother waiting though for answers to any questions about that significantly clipped transcript. We know that they will not come. Instead it is just the usual doubled down cherry picking of words that when in context simply don't stand up to scrutiny to show what some posters have stated they mean in a significantly reduced transcript.

Strange though, suggestions has access to the full transcript yet continues to post the clipped one missing all the context.....

And I am sure will deny dishonest intention.

I give you permission to copy and paste my transcript next time suggestions, let's keep it honest.

impossibility of getting a face to face GP consultation well that’s not true anymore, one of my family went last week. Meanwhile, outside of Wellington and one other area, you have to pay for an ambulance in NZ- usually $99 and doctors visits! They have strikes over there right now too and my whanau are saying food has gone up and toilet paper costs $10 for a small pack etc etc Both countries are struggling after covid, the war and poor handling of things by their governments.

I was SO disappointed to see the reaction in New Zealand to just one woman using her right to free speech about issues that affect her and other women like her.
The group that viciously apposed her is a minority.
It was disgusting the way the polioce did not intervene. Arrests should have been made and people who shut down the voice of women should still be found and prosecuted.

I am not going to boycott New Zealand products because I can not think of any products or industries where trans activists are the main beneficiaries and business owners.
I don't want to penalise every day working country women in dairies, woolsheds, wineries etc. Most activists are city based.

I haven't RTFT but I feel the same. Shouldn't we be writing to the NZ High Commission? Or any NZ-UK friendship organisations. Or the Commonwealth Office?
