From what i can tell, Rosie has quote tweeted a lloyd russell tweet, that is having a go at Kellie J.
Rosie it seems, has thrown Kellie under the bus by claiming, ' look i'm not like that other woman, so listen to me '! That's how i'm reading it anyway.
If so, that's the last time i hop in when it's rosie getting all the flak, she can do one!
I notice Bindle is there too!

Who has impregnated this child? Who is the most likely culprit? What kind of home life can lead a 12 year old to be sexually active?

If you are implying a family member, you don’t think social services and parents need to be informed, the child doesn’t need a care protection order?

Elizaazile · 10/03/2023 08:39

I'm implying a family member. If a kid knows SS are going to be involved they are less likely to seek out contraceptives or an abortion, and their access to that is the most important thing here.

If the concern is that a 12 yo is being hamed by a family member or pimped out, then more work needs to be done than preventing pregnancy and then sending them on their way

You are nuts. You think social services shouldn’t be involved if a child is being sexually abused at home…. Fuck me.

Elizaazile · 10/03/2023 08:41

Like what?

drwitch · 10/03/2023 08:41

nspcc link for interest. Not clear to me whether kjk was saying there are not enough protections here or that we need to keep these safeguards

Helleofabore · 10/03/2023 08:42

SapphosRock · 10/03/2023 08:21

To be fair to KJK she has been pretty consistent in not considering abortion rights to be a priority.

She is entitled to her views but obviously many GC will disagree.

Can we be clear here though, and not talk round the issue. She has also clarified this in the past day.

There is a difference between ‘not prioritising’ abortion and being against abortion!!

she is pro choice and continued attempts to undermine that are obvious.

Elizaazile · 10/03/2023 08:42

I absolutely do, but if they know that's going to happen, if that's their only route to access, they aren't going to go. And she wasn't talking just about social services, she was talking about the potential rapist needing to be the one who okays access.

EndlessTea · 10/03/2023 08:43

. If a kid knows SS are going to be involved they are less likely to seek out contraceptives or an abortion

Did you know that even teachers say that they can’t guarantee confidentiality they are told something that they will need to inform social services about.

Elizaazile · 10/03/2023 08:43

Yes. But they don't run and tell the abusers, do they?

FourTeaFallOut · 10/03/2023 08:46

Elizaazile · 10/03/2023 08:43

Yes. But they don't run and tell the abusers, do they?

No, they deal with the risk of pregnancy and then send them back into the fold, like an express service for abusers.

The NSPCC?

I wouldn't trust them as far as I could throw them.

Are you not aware of rubber wank man and that they don't consider it child abuse if the child doesn't feel it is abusive?

They lost their moral compass years ago.

Soontobe60 · 10/03/2023 08:46

Elizaazile · 10/03/2023 08:25

And safeguarding means denying young women contraceptives and abortion??

No, it means looking at the reasons behind why a 12 year old girl might need to access such services. Or do you think if a 12 year old turns up pregnant at her GP and requests an abortion the GP should just agree without exploring how she actually got pregnant in the first place? Who it was that impregnated her? Raped her?

Helleofabore · 10/03/2023 08:46

FourTeaFallOut · 10/03/2023 08:26

'Young Woman' is doing some heavy lifting there when we are talking about a 12 year old girl.

I think this is the issue. ‘Young women’? What age are you referring to here Elizaazile?

And what age group do you think KJK was talking about?

EndlessTea · 10/03/2023 08:46

Elizaazile · 10/03/2023 08:43

Yes. But they don't run and tell the abusers, do they?

If the doctor is concerned they with tell social services and will let them deal with it. They’ll just tell the parents they’ve made a referral but will leave it to SS to provide the detail and manage it if they think the child will be put at risk in any way.

Elizaazile · 10/03/2023 08:47

So you disagree with her that parents should always be involved? Because that's what she's arguing

Elizaazile · 10/03/2023 08:48

I think any age of girl should have complete access to these things (assuming they are medically okay for her) and they should choose if their parents are involved or not.

EndlessTea · 10/03/2023 08:49

Elizaazile · 10/03/2023 08:47

No, the parents should always be involved, but if it seems there is sexual abuse at home, the doctors would probably let social services completely manage it. They may also prevent the child from going home until the perpetrator is removed and they can guarantee her safety.

Elizaazile · 10/03/2023 08:50

You think the doctor should call up her potential rapist and ask if he's okay with her having reproductive autonomy?

Elizaazile · 10/03/2023 08:50

Well that's a recipe for more abuse.

EndlessTea · 10/03/2023 08:50

Yikes. An 8 year old girl? No protocols followed?

The mum clearly isn‘t the one who raped and impregnated her child tho, is she?

Tweak the law so parents must be told but can’t refuse consent.

Parents can’t refuse to consent to blood transfusions on behalf of a child so the legal framework must already be there.

But we absolutely should not be enabling a situation where a paedo rapist can take his victim to a doctor and have them fix his problem and enable him to keep raping the child.

Because it is rape.

Elizaazile · 10/03/2023 08:51

No, I think 8 year olds make fantastic mothers.

EndlessTea · 10/03/2023 08:51

Elizaazile · 10/03/2023 08:50

They would probably call the mother. If it’s the dad is a single parent, they wouldn’t let her return home.
