From what i can tell, Rosie has quote tweeted a lloyd russell tweet, that is having a go at Kellie J.
Rosie it seems, has thrown Kellie under the bus by claiming, ' look i'm not like that other woman, so listen to me '! That's how i'm reading it anyway.
If so, that's the last time i hop in when it's rosie getting all the flak, she can do one!
I notice Bindle is there too!

I support RD objecting to the video; I think it's the right move. I know KJK is not a feminist, but if she says something so blatantly anti-feminist, we have to push back.

What was anti feminist about what she said?

EndlessTea · 10/03/2023 08:13

I’m not sure how you read that and got throwing KJK under the bus.

The most notable thing was the refusal to concede the feminist ground to LRM and his TRA agenda.

I don’t understand the idea that we must agree with and defend everything someone says because they’re on ‘our side’ that seems to be increasingly prevalent these days. Why wouldn’t there be a range of views within GC feminism? Why would anyone expect to agree with KJK?

I mean, I don’t even necessarily agree with everything I’ve ever said or done. Opinions and views are not unchanging monoliths. They shouldn’t be.

The way she did it, was to confirm LRMs mischaracterisation of her views.

LuckyThatMyBreastsAreSmallAndHumble · 10/03/2023 08:13

Surely if a 12 year old was pregnant they should ABSOLUTELY have access to a safe abortion!

Of course, the parents and social services should also be informed.

The fact that you think KJK is anti-choice showed how RD chucked KJK under the bus by agreeing with LRMs lies about her.

I think protecting underage girls from statutory rape and sexual exploitation is a feminist issue.

Who does it serve to give a twelve year old girl contraception without informing the parents or social services?

Oh yeah - it serves the blokes who want to fuck underage girls without detection or consequence. I can understand why LRM would be on their side, but feminists? Hmmm…

This is absolutely the point people are missing.
Providing contraception for young girls without investigating why she is having sex, and with whom, is a safeguarding issue. Who should be advocating for her? Who should be protecting her? Who is ensuring her safety? Because 12 year olds cannot consent to sex - it’s rape, pure and simple.
Feminists should be shouting this from the rooftops!

SapphosRock · 10/03/2023 08:21

To be fair to KJK she has been pretty consistent in not considering abortion rights to be a priority.

She is entitled to her views but obviously many GC will disagree.

So do you think that unless abortion rights are someone’s ‘top priority’ then they are anti-abortion?

Elizaazile · 10/03/2023 08:23

I'm not going to punish young women because of him. Abortion rights are women's rights and girls' rights.

Thank fuck for you two speaking sense!

The fear of looking ‘right wing’ to left wingers like Oiley Moyley must not prevent us from protecting 12 year old girls from pervert male predators!

LRM stood up in Parliament and said our kids should be taught to safely choke wank as part of school sex ed.

Who gives a flying fuck about what he thinks of any of us?

Safeguarding is a child’s right.

Elizaazile · 10/03/2023 08:25

And safeguarding means denying young women contraceptives and abortion??

It means informing parents and social services.

FourTeaFallOut · 10/03/2023 08:26

'Young Woman' is doing some heavy lifting there when we are talking about a 12 year old girl.

Elizaazile · 10/03/2023 08:26

So then they won't get the contraceptives and abortions. Good plan!

You think that parents and social services won’t agree to getting their twelve year old daughter an abortion?

Elizaazile · 10/03/2023 08:28

Who definitely should not become a mother.

Elizaazile · 10/03/2023 08:28

Sometimes. Absolutely.

NO! Christ on a cracker! That’s not what we are saying at all. Only that it shouldn’t be a secret via Gillick Competency.

That she will have parental and/or social services support.

Not just taken along to the clinic by the skeevy paedo ‘boyfriend’ who knocked her up.

EndlessTea · 10/03/2023 08:30

Elizaazile · 10/03/2023 08:26

Together they’ll create a safeguarding plan to protect that child, including protecting her from activity which could lead to pregnancy, contraception if that fails and abortion if necessary.

Seems you think a sexually active twelve year old is ‘nothing to see here’.

Deffo not a woman.

Woman = ADULT human female.

Adult is 18 in the UK and 16 is the age of sexual consent.

12 year olds are largely still in the dithering about getting rid of their dollies stage.

FourTeaFallOut · 10/03/2023 08:35

It seems the tangible difference between a 12 year old girl and a 12 year old young woman, is the number of times she has been raped?

AlisonDonut · 10/03/2023 08:35

If a 12 year old needs an abortion then yes, there needs to be much better safeguarding.

That's the point.

Honestly some people are so quick to trigger without thinking through to the end of the sentence.
