The fact that Willoughby was asking which prison Willoughby should be placed in suggests to me that subconsciously Willoughby relates far more to the male rapist than to the women who were raped.

It also suggests that deep down Willoughby understands the nature of DARVO as it relates to transactivist attacks on women.

IW tried a similar tack a few years back on GMB iirc, but didn't mix up the words prison and refuge in that case. Tried to do a gotcha on Dr Karen Ingala-Smith.

IW was on with Dr K I-S and said if IW was raped, IW couldn't possibly go to a men's refuge.
Then said to K-IS 'what about a lesbian who has been abused' to which K-IS sensibly said something along the lines of 'if a lesbian finds being in the presence of women triggering, then perhaps a women's refuge isn't the right place for her to get support'
K I-S said IW should go to a specialist refuge if IW needed support and IW indignantly said 'A specialist refuge? They don't exist!'

There might have been more of the 'look at me, looking all womanly, like a woman, I can't go in with 'men' from IW'

I do believe IW suffers from some form of body dysmorphia, because - at the risk of sounding unkind - the way IW sees IWself is not what the rest of us see.

When is a transwoman not a transwoman? When they are found guilty of a sexual crime such as rape. They they are a 3rd new gender just introduced by the Scottish FM a rapist.

The man who says he is a woman must be listened to because you know self ID etc etc is so important so when they self id and trans women are women blah blah rubbish of course blah then people ask questions and suddenly there is a 3rd new sex so we now have women men and rapists. Odd twisting and turning of the transwomen and supporters, gives me a bloody headache

As IW has seemingly no problem stating they are a biological woman on Twitter, I wonder why they fudged that statement on QT?

And I really wonder why no one on the panel or audience jumped hard on IW questioning which prison they’d be sent to if they were a victim of rape. A ruddy nonsense.

I appreciate the distinction in the kinds of applause.

I also noticed that the applause came from certain groups. It seemed there were the same few people together doing the booing and strategic applause (the jeering about refusing to answer if a rapist can be a woman wasn’t part of it).

There were more ‘supportive encouragement’ ripples of applause after FB would appeal to everyone to #BeNice (without pulling up IW for interrupting and talking over both panel and audience members repeatedly, of course), it sounded like audience members were saying “well done for having the guts to speak on live TV”, rather than responding to comments at times.

There were definite moments when it was obvious that it was majority applause, something had struck a chord with people, compared to the ‘loud applause’ that activists who are used to rallies and so on, know how to generate.

The ‘audience majority applause’ moments were definitely after the pro-reality comments.

That was a genuine WTF moment for me. I had a similar feeling when I heard Nigel Farage speaking about Barack Obama and his words and tone made me realise how utterly abhorrent a racist he was - not just unpleasant but contemptible. I can’t imagine what could be going on in the head of someone who can make a Freudian slip of the sort I heard yesterday, and I don’t want to.

I agree, hence my comment up thread asking if the BBC might notice, and change its coverage to being a bit fairer; like having women discuss women's issues, not a bunch of men.

But given its diversity statistics show over-representation in the LGBTQ+ department, I'm not holding my breath.
