I should imagine the clip will be doing the rounds on twitter shortly if it's not already, but their Scotland correspondant Ciaran Jenkins did a really good job in a brief interview with her when she was on a tour of a TV studio today. Raised the issue of Katie Dolatowski, and got her quite rattled trying to get her to justify her comments about transphobia and racism. I don't like Nicola Sturgeon but I do believe she was a soft believer.

I tend to agree, but I think she bought into the whole ideology, as a way of showing how progressive she is and how awful the English Parliament is. Coupled with her arrogance and refusal to countenance that she could be wrong and therefore, compromise, she's painted herself into a corner. Not to mention, the issues mentioned so frequently aren't likely to affect her, so why care?

There's no point, if she can browbeat and bully people into silence and pretend that they support her, as they're too frightened to criticise the madness.

Sturgeon uses exactly the same tactics on gender critical women as she does on those with unionist beliefs. You couldn't put a fag paper between them.

What has she actually delivered? She seems good at commenting and rabble rousing. I don't see any more than that in her.

Also I find it all ridiculous given the endless rumours about her lavender marriage and her efforts against Salmond. I know he may well be a creep but she didn't hesitate to use all the power she had to crush him. She always strikes me as a highly illiberal person who gets emotions going in her favour. For once, that hasn't worked.

I think Crusty was buddies with Rosa Freedman for a while. Might be wrong though.

That clip above, refers to my quickly deleted tweet, where I talk about how NS has been played, she has been orchestrated by activists into becoming out of touch without realising. In the linked clip https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/womens_rights/4688027-thats-nicola-telt you can see that she is reading the room, and on seeing the filtered audience distancing themselves from the dissenting woman, she gets confidence. She doesn’t know they do not represent the public.

We had a wee demo yesterday regarding a parents meeting which was cancelled by a venue because they were not happy with the subject. The subject was what are children being taught in our schools with regards to sex & gender.

A Muslim woman there said she cannot understand why her voice, and those of other Muslim women, Jewish women, Christian women , and all parents have been ignored and told their views don’t matter when it comes to what their children are being taught.

I totally agree that NS knew exactly what she was doing. She has cynically used this in her quest for independence and ruthlessly trashed the human rights of half the population. Her actions are indefensible.
