And Sturgeon has really shot herself in the foot here (again). Because if she really thinks 'trans women are women', why is she not allowing this 'woman' to go to a female prison?

I'm not going to stop asking you @MargaritaPie as your evasion speaks volumes. It's relevant to all these threads as it always always comes down to classifying men and women by anything other by biology, which is at the heart of this. Sex segregation should be by biology, not how you dress or what you call yourself or what you insist others call you or the way you live your life. I'd really like to hear your answer to this question.

Please can you define what "living as a woman" actually means? How exactly does a man "live as a woman"?

The BBC report of this story says "It is thought to have been the first time a trans woman has been convicted of raping women in Scotland."

Is that right? Or the first time they have reported the rapist's trans status? Or were the other cases, in England and elsewhere?

I thought the wording NS used that it wasn't possible to have a rapist in a women's prison, seemed to be rewriting history that the prison service were already using self Id to house males in female prisons.

Looking at a pic of Isla Bryson pre-transition and it's pretty hard to believe that a shaved head, tattoo-faced person like him was trans since aged 4 like he says!

• 2 rapists who are now demanding to be moved into women's prison
• Murderer who identifies as a baby. In a prison with a mother and baby unit.
• Murderer who 'had sex' with female inmates.
• Paedophile housed in a women's prison with a mother and baby unit who was moved into a female prison after attacking another male in a male prison.

We should believe people are who they say there are. So if someone says they are not guilty we should let them go free. That would save a lot of money on trials and prisons.

Please let this be the beginning of the end of men in women's prisons. Not just in Scotland

It's not transphobia to say that TW are not women, and don't belong in women's prisons.

I believe that no men belong in women's prisons, but that doesn't mean I hate men, in fact I'm married to one. But my husband being a nice guy doesn't negate the fact that men do not belong in women's spaces. We don't do risk assessments to decide whether we should put random men in women's prisons, do we? We just put them in men's prisons where they belong.

Saying that transwomen don't belong in women's space does not make me transphobic either. Clothes, jobs, names, fine, they can do what they like. Women's spaces, no.
