And Sturgeon has really shot herself in the foot here (again). Because if she really thinks 'trans women are women', why is she not allowing this 'woman' to go to a female prison?

So therefore she knows this person is not a woman.

So therefore she is being transphobic...

It is a black and white issue actually. This rapist is either legally a man or legally a woman, there is no in between so which is it, as far as the SNP is concerned? Assuming the latter, then why would you make an exception for this so-called woman?

This shows how dishonest they are, because they keep talking about «robust risk assessments» as if they are assessing what degree of risk the male transwomen may be to the females in the prison!

If, just to make something up, there was a trans woman who had been living as a woman for the last 30 years, had had surgery, and was going to prison for tax evasion; then I think it would be questionable to send them to a male prison.

Really? The women's estate is something to be earned by submitting to surgery? That is barbaric.

And what if this person had only been 'living as a woman' for the last 3 years, and had only just had surgery, would they meet your criteria to enter women's spaces? What if they had been unable to have surgery, but had been trying to quietly 'live as a woman' for the last 30 years, what then? Whatever their history, they would still be taller and stronger than most of the women, still have the benefits of male socialisation, still have vastly more testosterone in their body than any of the women. They would still be male.

No. No male prisoners in women's prisons. If being in a men's prison would be uncomfortable: tough. If being in a men's prison world endanger them: that's for the male estate to solve. They have the resources in the men's prison system.

Women are not service humans for non-conforming males.

It makes me angry that safeguarding for women is less important than protecting men’s feelings about their gender. That it has to be such a clear cut case as this for safeguarding to be even considered.

Safeguarding should always come first, but it doesn’t. There shouldn’t be ‘special individual measures’. Men should not be allowed into female spaces - are they going to vet men going into women’s changing rooms or domestic abuse safe houses?

I haven't checked if all the prisoners are still there but an interesting read.

It'd actually a very simple risk assessment. Are you male? Then you go to the men's prison. Having surgery, wearing 'ladies' clothes, changing your name does not turn you into a woman. Anyone who says anything different is a danger to women. I very much include Nicola in that group.

Isn't this because Scots law includes the principle of corroboration, where no accused person can be convicted on the basis of evidence from one source/person but instead requires at least two independent sources of evidence in support of each crucial fact. There are some rules which have developed in order to broaden what counts as corroboration so the doctrine of mutual corroboration for example where single witnesses to different incidents can corroborate each other if there are sufficient similarities.

Katie Dolatowski, 22, a convicted paedophile who sexually assaulted a 10 year old girl is apparently in a women's prison. That's after seriously assaulting a man in a men's prison.

So transwomen are women except.......... ?? some are apparently not women becuase......?? And we're all transphobic and bigots for wanting to know.
