And I am now looking up Linda Stuparts projects and trying to make sense of this word smorgasbord:

The project conflates different discourses around objects; those of the art object, an object oriented ontology (via Speculative Realism), sexual objectification (via second wave feminist conceptions of the male gaze, queer theory and post-feminism) and the psychoanalytical object. The project proposes that a new ethical and aesthetic position may be gleaned from making and writing contemporary art from specific positions of objecthood.

A non-division, or absence of relation; voiding of distance, which I propose as the post-critical empathetic exchange of objects, is played out through my practice, which enacts a non-division between writing and making; experimenting with intimacy, embodied critique and realisms without representation

Thematically, the work situates my ‘self’ as material – working with strategies of confessional, critique and fictional writing and image/object production in relation to other kinds of materials and in particular relation to productions of images, art and art worlds.

Yes, I have only ever seen one person say they were comfortable in publicly supporting Peter Tatchell… because they didn’t believe he had written what he has. Of course, they flounced as soon as they saw the proof that he did indeed write it and several other things since that really never can be handwaved away the way Tatchell tries to do.

Fascists were also in Edinburgh on the sane day as the SFW rally, but “furries against fascists” decided not to confront actual fascists but harrass women speaking about their rights instead. From this we can extrapolate that furries don’t care about racists, but do like harassing women. Otherwise they would have been at the fascist rally wouldn’t they?

So what slogans and causes do far right groups and feminists share @artlove ? Are these far right protestors campaigning For for single sex spaces? Are they walking down the street calling for an end to the homophobic gender ideology? Are those men holding rallies pointing out the dangers of hiding children irreversible drugs whose long term effects are not known?

I always find it odd that brand new people come here and accuse us of aligning with...groups we've never heard of but that they know very, very well.

I think they are about restricting the options of both men and women.

If I were advocating on behalf of a cause which attracted people like this I would be extremely concerned, and would want at the very least to say that I didn't want their support.

Why are the group calling themselves "Patriotic Alternative" fascists?

They were founded by a fascist ( a man thrown out of the British National Party for racism and who promotes white supremacy, neo-Nazism, and conspiracy theories about Jews)
They have links to a number of far right groups including the neo-Nazi group Blood and Honour

They recently organised a demonstration which ended in violence against a hotel housing refugees in Knowsley.
