Yes, Errol. I think that some people have been led to believe that some males have some kind of right to claim to be 'just like all women' through use of that term.

To attempt to draw an equivalence here that transwoman is hateful is missing the very blatant misogny of the language allowing 'transwomen'. I am always surprised that any person posting on a feminist board thinks that women cannot see that misogyny.

What is ridiculous is that Willoughby is doubling down with some ludicrous discussion point that is effectively that transitioned males should be centred in any discussion about tampons. And that females questioning this as fetishistic behaviour are to be monstered.

Black women, white women, lesbian women are all of the same sex. India is of the opposite sex. That's unarguable given that India has fathered children.

Transwoman describes a man who prefers to be referred to as a woman.

The fact that they would also prefer a space between the words is irrelevant. It still means the same thing.

Women are female from the day they are conceived. Black, white, tall, short, whatever, is a description of their noun - woman.

No transwoman needs a descripter of woman because they are not one. If they were, they wouldn't be trans.

I prefer to use the term mtf transitioner rather than transwoman now. It is not without its issues, but on the whole it is clearer.

Yes edge. I use transitioned male. I would prefer to use men or just male, but sometimes a more defined description is needed.

I have plenty of terms I'd rather use than transwoman. They're more accurate as well.

Many places won't accept these terms, despite the fact they are true, so 'transwoman' is a compromise. I will never describe a male as a woman.
