Gamechanger? Honestly look at their Instagram. Their life is one endless round of dress-up, plastic surgery and cosmetic procedures (I think the relatively recent butt-job was done by the same surgeon as Jessica Alves who also follows MB). Since January they've holidayed in the Maldives, Marseille, Spain, New York - constantly posting pics of them in luxury hotel rooms , on yachts, idyllic beaches. They've walked a handful of shows, modelled Bulgari Diamonds, appeared on magazine covers and attended award ceremonies. And then they post a few trite 'Protect Trans Kids' memes and get interviewed for their ground breaking 'work' and THIS makes them a Gamechanger?!! Oh sorry they also have a high camp show on MTV that they co-present with drag queen Tayce.
What MB does best is self-publicise and try everything they can to mould their face and body to an idealised version of what certain members of society think a gorgeous, fabulous woman should look like. They do that very, very well it has to be said partly down to having an enormous budget and/or loads of companies wanting MB to wear their cosmetics, hairpieces, frocks etc... The 'political' stuff seems to entirely consist of them just existing and being a role model to any other wanna be trans models, and being lauded by the likes of Trish Goddard for posting photos of themselves in enormous frou-frou frocks.
It also feels like they've had a book coming out for the past 5 years but it's yet to materialise. Occasionally they will post a photo of themselves without the make-up and wigs and they look beautiful.
I blame society for making 'being beautiful' an 'achievement'. Especially for women. It seems to be even more of a pinnacle of achievement for trans women.
Oh and I'm sure this thread won't last.
