Yes. And I am sure they do. We know at least one butch woman turned around and thanked the person asking. Thanked her because that woman was trying to ensure her need for female only toilet was being respected for herself and for others.

However, it takes an understanding and empathy for other females to do this.

Having spent my childhood being missexed, sure it can hurt for a bit, but I only had to speak and people realised their mistake. It was a constant thing in my life. I certainly never reacted with aggression when it did.

Looking back not only over my life but also that of my late DM and her sisters, none of us would have hesitated before saying to a man 'this is the ladies' or similar because they would think the man in question had made a genuine mistake coming into the ladies' and they were putting him right.

They would have had no idea about gender identities so the concept of being GC would have been alien to them.
It would only be about correcting someone's mistake.

So, where is the symmetry of this particular argument?

A small % of males demanding use of female single sex spaces, (and absolutely not all transitioned males demand this!), and people then ignore the larger % of female’s who say no. Because obviously female’s don’t count as much- certainly not equally.

I’m simply not in favour of harassing women in public toilets because they don’t look “womanly” enough. I’m pro-womens safety, even if it’s from other women.

Funny that someone who thinks women shouldn’t be harassing people in the womens toilets gets branded as a ‘TRA’.

We have a right to be safe in the womens toilets and that includes being safe from other women, not just men.

Where is the evidence that it is SO unsafe for transwomen to use male toilets? I see many, many police reports in my line of work, I've yet to see one about an assault on a transwomen in a men's toilet (or anywhere in fact).

I care about what’s going on in our toilets. Women should not be attacked by other women because they struggle with perceiving reality (like some posters on here clearly do) and go on the attack after mistakenly identifying another woman as a man.

So there needs to be a blanket ban on all males going in to female spaces. That includes TW as they are biological men. Then there wont be any harassment in the toilets as it will just be for females, as it should be.

I am friends with a lot of very butch lesbians and have been for 30 yeaes. Occasionally some of them have been questioned going into the women's loos. They just say they're women, everyone is fine and moves on.

This incident didn't happen. It's not a gotcha. It's just a feeble attempt to get women to ignore their boundaries.
