So I am told anyway. I can't bring myself to watch it. Has anyone been brave enough?

Can't seem to link to the article. It's in the DM

But this is a great platform to showcase what the extreme TRAs are fighting for.

Bizarre exhibitionist males that behave nothing like women. Yeah, well done TRAs.

And the act is one note (or one penis), it's niche and would hardly get a mainstream audience, although seeing as we live in Black Mirror world, who knows where we might see Jordan Grey's knob again - The One Show?

Stewart Lee, what do you think of this?

"a genuine person who is committed to full physical transition and who respects the women they identify with

I think that the idea that this is something that anyone should be arguing for is part of the problem.

‘Full physical transition’ is not something to be encouraged. We should not be encouraging anyone to cosmetically mutilate their bodies and significantly affect their day to day functioning. Womanhood is not something to be gained if you make it to the end of a horrendous medicalised quest.

If there is a problem with the male sex provision, then that needs to be fixed so that biologically male humans who want to dress in whatever way they choose can access it safely and with dignity. Using the female provision as a ‘prize’ for being sufficiently committed is harmful to both sexes.

but, as is so often the case, society looks to women to make up for the issues with men.

You cannot become a woman. A sex change is impossible. Once you grasp this someone illusive but straightforward point it leads you to only a few conclusions.

They are but are not limited to:

If you are willing to chop off healthy bit of your body and live with life long health complications and medications, you have an undealt with mental health issue.

If you don't chop off your whanger and decide its ok to whop out your willy for the attention as much as possible whilst shouting about your superiority and self, you have a narcissism problem.

There isn't a lot of room to avoid these fairly obvious conclusions.

CuntAmongstThePigeons · 24/10/2022 10:31

Right well I've just watched the whole clip.

I have to say I think the song is satire, I think Gray's taking the piss out of themself and TRA's not women.

I've actually watched them in quite a few interviews etc in the past. I think they're a really interesting and talented individual.

So I'm more inclined to think the lyrics are tongue in cheek. I obviously don't agree with the random getting your penis out. Never appropriate.

But the actual song. I think it's quite funny. I think Gray is being self deprecating by acknowledging that they're male. "Tell me I'm pretty" -male audience members calls him pretty. Gray "GAY".

CuntAmongstThePigeons · 24/10/2022 10:34

Also the anal by default. - It's funny because it's acknowledging that Gray doesn't have a vagina, that they have sex in the traditional gay male way.

It's hardly a secret that lots of men like anal. So again I don't necessarily think that's a pop at women, it's taking the piss out of themselves.

Pobblenotoes · 24/10/2022 10:35

My thoughts:
He's a one trick pony, this will get boring very quickly

It was supposed to be funny. So I guess he was being ironic about being better than us, and therefore pointing out how inadequate and oppressed he is

The impression I got was of a very aggressive person, with a narcissistic personality and a hyper sexualised and fetishised idea of what women are and what men want..it looks like he wants attention and controversy. Yawn.

Im interested to see what he does if he ever grows up and when this all goes out of fashion.

ZuttZeVootEeeVo · 24/10/2022 10:36

Who knows whats going through his mind. But lots of people from tra to women didn't see it as satire, so he's obviously failed in his performance on that front.

ValerieDoonican · 24/10/2022 10:38

On the basis of that song, it seems pretty obvious that it's about wanting to have sex with men, not about "identity".

My reaction to reading it is to sit young Jordan down and kindly explain that 'you don't need to look like a lady to have sex with men, love. There are lots of men who would want sex with you just as God made you.'

But I suppose that's the issue isn't it? It's wanting to have sex with straight men? I guess that's what pps are meaning by 'homophobia' (sorry if im a bit slow here!)

EndlessTea · 24/10/2022 10:39

I think the whole thing is going for the laughs, but I think the self-piss-taking is ouroboros-like and is actually an ‘in plain sight’ admission. I think he believes it is satire in his own head, but he also feels compelled to get his fake tits out and waggle his naked cock as part of the act. It’s instinct-driven, not some thought-out political satire, imo.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 24/10/2022 10:40

Interesting theory but for this to work effectively a couple more obvious clues that this was the intent were needed.

RealFeminist · 24/10/2022 10:41

Noting that ticket sales for Gray's show on Thursday look mediocre at best. This is at least partly an attempt to go for shock value attention-grabbing headlines. The various reports show this as a publicity stunt that the public aren't really buying, though. I think it's perhaps badly timed.

I think Gray has sometimes got some insightful points on 'gender' issues and yes, can be funny sometimes.

This doesn't mean that the song, or the stripping, or the playing with genitals on live TV is a good idea.

TBH I don't think that someone trying to work through deep seated personal issues by pushing boundaries in public tends to be a helpful approach for anyone.

Gray is straight.

Gray is straight.

When you say straight, do you mean he exclusively has sex with women?

RealFeminist · 24/10/2022 10:44

'The singer and comedian, who was born a man, is undergoing transition and feels she has ‘the boobs of a 13-year-old’.'
...
'Jordan says when she was living as a young man, he described himself as a ‘red-blooded male’ who always had relationships with women, but since taking female hormones she says she has become less focused on sex.'

If he wasn't a representative of Educate and Celebrate & going into primary schools to talk to children as young as 4 (according to him) about sex, sexuality and gender identity, I'd just dismiss him as another creepy narcissist.

His role with this group makes him frankly dangerous. And - just as with the Mermaid's paedophile scandal - there's no horrified apology, no reassurance that he doesn't represent the charity. Just deleting pages and tumble weed. Why is that? Is it because there's a legion of adults with similar behaviours /values all working with them? So they know if they criticise him there's a shed load of similars to stand in his place?

What's that phrase about silence being complicity?

ValerieDoonican · 24/10/2022 10:50

Less focused on sex! 😅 But if they are oriented towards sex with women, why the stuff about anal and squirting then? Unless as a pp suggests the song isn't actually autobiographical.

Well anyway, I think that's enough of my headspace taken up by exhibitionistic youngsters thinking they're edgy for now...

CuntAmongstThePigeons · 24/10/2022 10:51

I'm hardly surprised any of the tongue in cheek jokes went over the TRAs heads.

They're rarely the brightest bunch are they.

ValerieDoonican · 24/10/2022 10:52

...though as a PS, Jordan & their like definitely don't belong anywhere near primary school children, whatever their agenda

According to Blanchard many are bisexual and my be married and have children, and only fancy women, but they seek out male sexual partners, because to be sexually penetrated by men, is a form of ‘validation’ of their ‘womanhood’.

So chances are it is autobiographical.

Xoxoxoxoxoxox · 24/10/2022 11:04

I agree that it’s the fact that he goes in to schools promoting trans ideology that is what I have an issue with, teaching young children that they can change sex. He said:

’I went in to one school recently where
there was a 7 year old transgender girl. And her four year
old classmate, who was a boy, said: Jessie's a girl and
she wants to be a girl. And I am a boy and I want to be
boy! And that was that! Young minds are very accepting’

drwitch · 24/10/2022 11:12

Filppant aside: The whole thing could be an alternative punch line to the old convuluted joke that ends up with someone being given a box with a 6 inch pianist inside

landyland · 24/10/2022 11:13

Less focused on sex - not surprised, the estrogen does seem to be having a shrivelling effect. I hope he's prepared for that. Taking estrogen really kills male sex drive. It's paradoxical to me. They want the girls boobs (even though they're clueless about when girls actually develop breasts) so they can get off on being submissive and penetrated by men etc but seem willing to destroy their sex drive to get there. The ones in trans porn must just have breat implants I guess as they don't seem to suffer from the same shrinkage issues.

Tanith · 24/10/2022 11:24

The reason why men are laughing and endorsing the performance is that they’ve never experienced someone unexpectedly flashing their genitals at them.

So many women have experienced these creeps from childhood that they recognise it for what it is. It’s another example of why trans women are not women.
Women know that flashers very often escalate, too.

Cornettoninja · 24/10/2022 11:32

In what world is a four year old classmates with a seven year old??? That doesn’t even work with mixed years does it?

BetterCallMe · 24/10/2022 11:44

I've complained to Ofcom, thank you to the posters for the link.

IcakethereforeIam · 24/10/2022 12:01

Jordan has done some short comedic pieces set in a supermarket that were quite funny. I think he can be better than this.

The school stuff is creepy, anyone involved in confusing children about sex and gender is....ugh!!!
