Just been sent this video after I said I thought JK is pretty fierce and I have a lot of respect for her.

My initial feeling is it's a big smear campaign and much may be false or exaggerated? Not sure what to respond to them. Is there a quick way to debunk all or much of it?

I don't give a shit who has said what. You could have Boris Johnson and Donald Trump being the only two people alongside myself who 'believe' that sex is real and sometimes matters, with all the truly worthy people who ever lived 'believing' that there is a feeling that makes you male or female.

None of that would change what I think, because what I think is based on facts not who else also thinks it.

They are both part of a loose group of YouTube content creators known as ‘Breadtube’, the 5 best known are Contrapoints (American MtF transgender person) Philosophy Tube (British MtF transgender person) Jim Sterling (AMAB nonbinary person) HBomberGuy (Donkey Kong Mermaids Man) and this one, Shaun.

Shaun doesn’t even know what a woman is (his ‘female friends’ are male) let alone what Women’s Rights are, let alone what is and isn’t Feminism.

Shaun has made a previous video slagging off JK and made loads of cash from it (3.6M views in 7 months, his most popular YouTube video ever) so he’s bound to revisit the same topic.

Ask them what was the point of the video. Then ask them what JKR actually said. Ask them why they think women having rights is problematic for them. Ask them what should happen if womens and trans rights clash (if they say talk, just start laughing as you walk away).

Basically don't defend. Get them to defend their view or explain why women and girls don't matter.

PS 2 to 3 women die a week at the hands of men. No transperson in the uk has died from men or womens violence. Dont fall for that.

It's a tactic not worth bothering engaging with. It's what people who aren't confident in their arguments do.
