Feminism: Sex and gender discussions

I'm not a woman - which facilities should I use

Genuinely interested to hear what supporters of gender ideology would recommend here. I am biologically female but do not identify as a woman. I am officially trans though in reality I don't think I am the sort of person Stonewall meant to refer to in their definition of trans (I am gender critical - which for those who have been misled by some made-up definitions, to me means that sometimes sex, rather than gender, matters. It is not an anti-trans stance).

The question is - which facilities should I use? I should not be in the ladies if that is defined by identity but using the men's does not feel right either. How do gender ideologists suggest I negotiate this?

No thanks @Waitingfordecember
I don't want to sit on piss on the seat

TheOrigRights · 11/10/2022 09:38

Use the womens/ladies/females.

waterwitch · 11/10/2022 09:39

Good try Whatiswrongwithmyknee. Sadly Marge and Junebug etc didn’t make an appearance - I really would like to know what their take on this is!
OTOH, I suspect that they rely on the majority of females agreeing that they do indeed identify as women, otherwise it becomes blindingly obvious that TWAW is completely meaningless. And yes, your point does emphasise that accepting transwomen into female spaces leaves a whole lot of (non-identifying) people with nowhere which is defined as being for them.
Have you tried posting this on a forum with more trans traffic (burner email & user name obviously!)?

Interestingly, one of dd’s friends (natal female, definitely a girl) can pee in a urinal. Maybe it’s a skill we should all be developing 😱

Ithoughtthiswastherehearsal · 11/10/2022 09:40

Also, mixed sex toilets have been tried in many places. What happens is that men piss all over the seat, and then women have to come in and clean the seat before they can sit down. It doesn’t work. Also it increases sexual assaults of women, look at the statistics and ‘educate yourself’ on how men behave around mixed sex toilets.

Where workplaces have introduced mixed sex loos, employees stick male and female labels back on, because the vast majority of people do not want mixed sex toilets. This is supposed to be a democracy. The overwhelming majority of people want single sex toilets.

sjxoxo · 11/10/2022 09:40

Not sure what toilets have to do with your identity… you have a vagina so the female toilets applies. X

elferian · 11/10/2022 09:42

use whatever facilities you like

Whatwouldscullydo · 11/10/2022 09:43

If non binary males can use the womens ( apparently according to ideologists )then why cant non binary females ?

Think about any of it for 2 seconds and you will see hou have been had.

TheClogLady · 11/10/2022 09:43

I would really like a sign on some loos of a cock and balls with a line through it, like a traffic sign. That’s all the clarity I need.

😃

I agree with OP, I have a female body and by Stonewall’s definition, an ‘agender’ gender identity.

where am I supposed to pee if the ladies toilet is now for people with woman-gender?

obviously not the mens.

and there are millions of female-body, no gender-identity-people, so obvs we can’t all just use the disabled loo (unless we are actually disabled).

I don't think there are many supporters of gender ideology on this forum so it might not be the best place to get responses from that perspective.

Im not confortable with the mens because I don't identify as a man. I am non binary also according to stonewall definition. I've borne two children so am legitimately biologically female. However I'd feel mis gendered if anyone assumed that because I go to the ladies I identify as a woman. I am not messing here. I genuinely now feel uncomfortable wherever I go.

It must be tiring being so reliant on others to validate your identity. Why do you place so much emotional weight on the assumptions of others. People make assumptions about other people all the time and sometimes these assumptions are contrary to how we think about ourselves.

Being female is your physical reality. Being "non-binary" is an identity that you use to describe your personality. Unless you have taken measures to medically androgenise yourself it's likely that most people most of the time will make the assumption that you are female. They will not need to see you enter the female toilets to think this so you might as well just accept it, it will make you so much happier in the long run if you try caring less what other people think.

crumpet · 11/10/2022 09:46

I mean this kindly OP. Most women using the ladies loos won’t give a shit about your identity, so you won’t be misgendered. Your sex will, for a flicker of a second, be accurately assessed by other users and they will then be going on with their day without giving a second’s thought.

bigblueyonder · 11/10/2022 09:48

Trust me. When people go to a public toilet someone else's gender is the last thing they are concerned with. They (well I ) do not care.Sex of the person is a different matter.

The male sex has strong form for violence, assault and harassment. There is this bizarre expectation of being safe, which to me, takes priority over any self absorbed navel gazing by people trying to slap their 'gender' in other people's faces.

ArcticSkewer · 11/10/2022 09:52

That's what the disabled toilets are there for.

Oh wait, really ....?

borntobequiet · 11/10/2022 09:54

Much if what you are saying is nonsense, OP, and your dilemma is imaginary. But you may of course be aware of that.

My advice is to forget it and find out what’s wrong with your knee, if you’re really not sure. Knee trouble needs sorting out as early as possible. You’ll regret it later in life if you don’t.

borntobequiet · 11/10/2022 09:57

Of not if.

purpleboy · 11/10/2022 10:01

Are many of you purposefully misunderstanding op?

Read it again, I'm a bit shocked at the responses when she is clearly taking the piss!

Musomama1 · 11/10/2022 10:02

Sorry your post makes no sense. 'I am not a woman...'.

You then state that you are actually a woman who identifies with the gender identity non-binary. Toilets are separated by sex. Use the toilets that align with your sex.

Think of the gains, less piss on the floor, you know they are going to smell nicer / be cleaner than the men's or any unisex offering anyway.

Whatiswrongwithmyknee

I skim read through. What an interesting thread. I was going to support Rufus on the first page, with a 'yes, of course this is knee's intention' but realised it was already up to page 5. Maybe people didn't recognise you, maybe your identity disguised you.

I am absolutely not taking the piss. I am wanting gender ideologists to tell me where I fit in their worldview.

Nor are you having one (at least not in public)!! lol!

They usually only appear on threads in order to scold us, rather than give constructive advice, I’m afraid.

elephantseal · 11/10/2022 09:21

@Whatiswrongwithmyknee, could I ask a serious question? When you say you're agender, what does that feel like?

Why don't you identify as a woman, especially if you have given birth, which is a quintessentially female thing to do?

To me it feels like a refusal to let my sexed body define me. What does it feel like to identify as a woman?

Just use the female bogs FFS.

If you were born with a vagina then you're female and you use the ladies toilets.

This.
