There are rumours circulating on Twitter that Carly-May Kavanagh (the one who screams at babies: Daily Mail) has, despite her “apology” been suspended from the Labour Party. Presumably such a suspension would have an impact on her job as Lloyd Russell-Moyle‘s head of policy?

Apparently if she is suspended it [probably] won’t be made public. Given the reason for her [potential] suspension; if Labour actually do take action, you’d think they’d want to reassure people that they expect their members to uphold certain standards. I mean, “not screaming abuse at infants” is less upholding a standard than it is failing to trip over pebbles of basic decency…

Clearly one cannot put too much weight into Random Person Says Unevidenced Thing. However, it would be a foolish rumour to start without cause, so I thought it was worth starting a thread here to see if there are developments to follow.

Should Kavanagh face consequences for her behaviour it will be a watershed moment: Labour acknowledging women have rights all their own, including the rights to assemble & to speak on issues of concern to them, such as their need for single sex provisions.

That article written by Jean Hatchet reads as if Hearts of Oak are part of an "inner circle" and men from the group made a speech in Brighton as part of this inner circle.

Three quarters of that article is about Hearts of Oak.

A Hatchet job. (I'm here all week folks...)

FFS! Shoot me now.

FOJNTheBiologyStupid

I’m very familiar with that Twitter poster.
He’s completely desperate for women to have no places of their own and for males to be allowed everywhere they fancy and abuses any woman who challenges that concept. He’s one of the vilest people I’ve ever encountered.

🤣🤣🤣

Honestly, this is absolutely farcical. She's guilty of not just creating an inner circle, but inviting fascists in.

You know what, it really wouldn't surprise me if she didn't invite UKIP, the BNP and Tommy Robinson next time. Just to see everyone's head explode.

FlowersBloomInAutumn · 29/09/2022 02:22

Carly-May Kavanagh still remains the person caught on record shouting "Fascist" in the face of a baby.

That is a disgusting thing for any person to do.

Hepwo · 29/09/2022 07:39

The Left Wing Feminist Hearts of Oak PR team are still at it I see, providing them with free promotion on feminist websites. It's okay though, it's not contagious when the Left Wing Feminists promote them.

Meanwhile has there been any update on Labour apologising for their staff's behaviour towards a Brighton constituent?

So literally anybody could film, all along a spectrum from ‘antifascist’ to ‘fascist’?

Wouldn’t that suggest that the ‘inner circle’ isn’t anything like an ‘inner circle’, but rather ‘those who were organised enough to get a good spot’?

NecessaryScene · 29/09/2022 07:49

I'm in your inner circle, TheClogLady. Look at me, posting right next to you.

Pyjamagame · 29/09/2022 07:51

Ooooh, me, I'm in it too. Budge up.

NecessaryScene · 29/09/2022 07:52

Too late. I got the spot.

NecessaryScene · 29/09/2022 08:01

Hang on a second! Rewind.

Are people now saying that there was a well-behaved TRA-associated film crew there too? And she just let them film!? In the Inner Circle of Closeness to Posie??

(Or maybe just in the Outer Circle? If someone can get accurate footage, you can check their distance and look it up on the Speaker's Corner Association site, which lays out regulation zone distances for events held in the Commonwealth. Ideally she would have actually marked the field before hand to avoid disputes. Sigh).

So, Brighton Public Event Feminist Control Committee, is she supposed to denounce them as well, because the policies they support are bad for women? Or do we want them to hear what we're saying?

I'm going to need a chart - who's allowed to Officially Film, and who's allowed to be in the Official Stand The Other Side Of The Police Line And Shout part of the event.

(Do we need to vet the police while we're at it? Figure out which ones are bastards?)

The "inner circle" was just people standing right at the front. People were moving a bit, so if anyone who arrived later had a burning desire to get to the front, squat down and film/take photos, they could have done.

I was just concentrating on listening to the speeches.

Pyjamagame · 29/09/2022 08:04

This reminds me of Meet the Parents circle of trust.

TheClogLady · 29/09/2022 08:06

You two better not be former UKippers! Someone might call me a fascist!

At this rate HoO and chums will cease turning up at Women’s events because women rights activists have an even worse reputation than Tommy Robinson! Brexiteers can’t risk looking bad due to guilt by association with former/current Mumsnetters!

Previously oblivious normies will start thinking ‘terfs’ are actually fascists all because a particular subset of Brighton feminists were desperate to smear Posie as far right for whatever weird reasons they’ve cooked up in their paranoid heads. Jealousy because her house is detached or something.

Well done ladies! Slow handclap all round!

TheClogLady · 29/09/2022 08:08

You absolute fascist! 😁

RufustheFloralmissingreindeer · 29/09/2022 08:19

Thanks lovely. So it seems to be just like some of the other Speakers Corner events. If you want to get in and get close, you most certainly can.

You can even, goodness me!, push through gaps without anyone screaming ‘queue jumper’ and with no fuss at all set up a live stream as you are free by law to do!

Oh my! Imagine that. This inner circle bit is fucking hilarious in its inanity and irrelevance.

lovelyweathertoday · 29/09/2022 09:09

When Maria MacLachlan started speaking a woman quite near the front started yelling "trans women are women", she was removed sharpish by the police. I've just been watching Maria's video and apparently it was Carly-May.

It's quite an interesting video, link below. Has got some footage of "the inner circle".

Just for clarity, I am not a fascist.

Blindingly obvious, you'd think - but apparently not...!

I was told that the film crew were from 'The Economist' well known fascist rag.....

By today's definition they probably are.
