Continuation thread from Antipodean fruit grower statement

A statement from the owner reads in part:

Downtime Update as of August 26th, 2022

"What I fear more than losing my site, being sued, or dealing with police is living in a world where [REDACTED] can [REDACTED] little boys and girls into [REDACTED] and [REDACTED], while normal people are not allowed to even discuss it.

The mob has already planned subsequent targets. Should we stay down, they will then attack 'gender critical' communities - especially those ran by and for women. No place can exist online which allows criticism of their [REDACTED], and nothing would excite them more than this power and domination struggle being inflicted on a female space instead."

I would link to the statement on the Internet Archive aka "Wayback Machine" but it has made all pages archived from the relevant site unsearchable (or deleted?).

Mumsnet does not permit links to the site Archive Today so that is out too.

Yes! We should report them to their service providers, this is surely the pinnacle of Hate Speech!

Even Bernard Black wouldn’t sink as low as to make an ice lolly from Lambrini. Bleaugh.

I think you’re right, the service providers will definitely listen to us, we are so marginalised that this special naughty step was created just for us!
We can’t let this level of hate speech go, literal violence!

Are Oddfellows related to lolcows?

It's quite clear many of the lolcows or whatever they call them...

You realise that knowing the lingo outs you as a kiwi farm reader?

Lolcow has been internet slang for years. There’s even a site by that name.

I'm well aware of that, but it is a particular section of Kiwi Farms that you'd have to be a reader to know, otherwise how would you know? Also, the person has read the threads on the lolcows otherwise how would they have formed an inpression about the people in the threads?

And that is what makes them a Kiwi Farms reader.

ItsLateHumpty · 07/11/2022 21:50

Looking good for the Farmers (and Marge 😉), not so much for #dropkiwifarms lol

  1. Data rescue for missing content from late October should be complete. Anything missing from that time should be working now.
  2. We should now have complete global saturation and any Internet connection should work around the world.
  3. I have successfully broken XenForo's obnoxious cache-busting on attachment images and they should now load much faster across site.
  4. Telegram has restricted the Kiwi Farms announcement channel, likely due to complaint volume. It can be bypassed by this (very slow) website, but I hope to reverse the decision.
  5. I've updated something that required resetting login sessions. Sorry.
  6. Announcement regarding future plans soon (ooooo wonder what he’s up to 🤔)

Italics and bold mine.

SnapeAlways · 07/11/2022 22:09

Lambrini?!!’

No wonder Jersh hates the British, he probably thinks we live on a diet of prawn cocktails and Black Forest gâteaux!

That’s it!! Drop KiwiFarms!!

We are so flipping back! Grin

Unlike my ruddy devices.

ItsLateHumpty · 07/11/2022 23:09

Hope you get your stuff back soon!

And you can’t drop KiwiFarms cos without your support there’d be no one left to keep your thread alive 🧦 🧦 🧦 😂

Oo except maybe the vexatious litigant them self? 🤔
btw I do believe our unlearned friend when they say they never had one KF account.

Because of course they had many!

Needmoresleep · 08/11/2022 11:20

Josh is going to need his Lambrini, or something stronger.

It's down again. Something called an internal server error from someone called Haltdos.

I wondered why Marg had not shown up recently. Perhaps they have been busy.

Lampedsomeoiks · 08/11/2022 11:27

That is concerning. This is the DDOS provider.

No doubt the nutter behind all this has pulled yet more strings. They must have some insane dirt receipts on alot of people in the industry because I have no idea how they this much clout.

Needmoresleep · 08/11/2022 11:57

They must have some insane dirt receipts on a lot of people in the industry

Or perhaps there is archived material on a lot of people on the site, so a wide determination that it should never see the light of day.

Dreikanter · 08/11/2022 12:00

I can still access KF. Just reading the updates on the CF thread,

Lampedsomeoiks · 08/11/2022 12:12

Just tried. Without VPN n Edge I can get on.

Via Opera and European VPN I get an error. I changed to Asia and it works.

TastefulRainbowUnicorn · 08/11/2022 12:21

I was just reading about the behind the scenes pressure that has been exerted on Twitter advertisers since Musk took over.

I previously had no feelings on the subject of Musk vs Twitter, other than wanting both sides to lose. Now I’m realising that there are a lot of very powerful people who are determined to control the information infrastructure and I reluctantly have to hope Musk wins.

Bleh. He certainly doesn’t have Josh’s scrappy underdog appeal. I really, really hope Josh wins. I think whatever he’s up against is huge.

article that talks about Twitter advertisers being pressured (it’s very long and only mentions it briefly): thezvi.substack.com/p/whats-the-deal-with-elon-musk-and

ItsLateHumpty · 08/11/2022 12:24

It’s up on clearnet for me kxxxfxxxx.net

telegram is not working atm, and the site message hasn’t changed since the one I posted earlier….

Needmoresleep · 08/11/2022 12:43

That's good to hear but still nothing for me.

Message from Haltdos.

"Oops! Internal Server Error
The website could not server your request due to internal server error. Please share the below reference number with us"

(Though no obvious way to share the reference is given.)

If I got in there is nothing particular I want to read, and the tone does not make for easy browsing. However I feel that I have a right to be able to read a legal site if I want to and some internet nerds on the other side of the globe have no right to stop me. I want to be reassured that Josh, the unlikely hero, has slayed the dragons.

GingerPCatt · 08/11/2022 13:34

I saw an article the Cloudfare stock had fallen significantly (www.theglobeandmail.com/investing/markets/stocks/NET-N/pressreleases/11360034/why-cloudflare-stock-got-crushed-today/). I know nothing of how the stock market works, but I wonder if dropping KF has been bad for business?
Personally, if I hosted a website I would not want to use Cloudfare after seeing them drop a website without any notice or proof of the “immediate threat to human life".
Or it could be that after seeing that they hosted the Farms, other websites pulled out. I guess time will tell.

Actually there were some guarded references to it in their statements to the SEC / investment where they're legally required to give reasoning behind their earnings and forecasts. I don't recall the exact wording and would have to find the screenshots but apparently they had a number of customers contact them with concerns about being dropped and listed this as an impact.

What would really be interesting to see would be some law enforcement directed against the individuals behind DDoS attacks (distributed denial of service for non-technical MNers. Where you organize a swarming of a sites servers to overwhelm them with fake website requests). Whilst it's hard to investigate the attack itself, they know there is always a money trail and they know that Keffels and his acolytes have been publicly celebrating and championing the attacks. It's not hard to put two and two together and think this might be a good place to start. DDoS attacks are a Federal Crime in the USA and can carry a prison sentence.

Trustylion · 08/11/2022 14:08

Loving the Northern Soul reference - another one for the US farmers to figure out. And yes Lambrini WTF iss obviously Gin and Prosecco for the mixer. I'm also team Musk, with caution, but mainly because he allegedly said he'd be charging they/them pronoun holders on twitter double for verification as they identify as multiple people 😚
Sorry can't remove this stupid emoticon, i tell you want, The KF website is slot more usable for me than this god awful MN phone app.

Exactly! What a way to signpost all the content you want ‘normies’ to ignore than hoisting a massive ‘don’t read this’ neon light above a ‘banned’ website.

I really hope Josh is successful because I don’t need any state to limit or control SM and tell me what news or content I can consume.

PIE / MAP / NOMAP, porn and rape seems tote legit on SM but woe betide anyone collates and archives the actual content posted freely to the WWW that when seen in it’s entirety makes one say “hold on a fucking minute, they said what?”
In the era of Google scrubs and account cleansing I would like the option of seeing exactly what you decided was totally ok to broadcast last week.

Don’t want the heat, then don’t make minors wear your ‘cat-boy farm’ collars.

I suppose if this was being investigated by USA law enforcement they would be unlikely to post public updates on progress.

However, given the "Hunter Biden laptop - nothing to see here" stance of the FBI, it seems that US law enforcement is not exactly impartial or apolitical - and we know that Taylor Lorenz, friend of Chelsea Clinton, is a prime suspect in the removal of Kiwi Farms pages from the web archive (aka The Wayback Machine) where her uncle has some sway.

DS (who is techy and scarily up on this stuff) thinks Cloudflare initially dropped KF because it was protecting its share price. If it’s dropped since then maybe that reflects concerns over companies playing judge and jury?

I think needsmoresleep is still blushing over the Farmer’s MN thread 🤔
