MP is thinking small (surprise, surprise) if MP thinks we're loyal to Joshua (although he's a dedicated servant), the site itself (although it's great), or to the concept of gossiping about Twiddiots (although it's often hilarious).

What we're really loyal to is our own principles, especially what free expression means. We've become all too familiar with what illiberals continually want to remind us it doesn't mean.

Making fun of people isn't the most important thing in the world (in some cases it is) but in every case it is a wedge holding open one of the most important doors in the world. The ability to speak your mind, and the ability of willing people to hear it. With no further qualification as to societal utility as judged by the profoundly narrow-minded.

Talking of data breaches, check out the news from Oz atm,… 10 million customer records taken from Optus. The breach includes name, dob, drivers licence number, passport number, email addresses, full postal address, medicard number (equil to NI number), and they only bothered to tell their customers via news outlets.

If you go to haveibeenpwned.com and enter your email, you can see all the data breaches you’ve been in. My oldest email has been in dozens. And I’ve had credit card details stolen in the past along with other sensitive info.

However, if you register with KF, the instructions state that you should use a throwaway email, don’t use an identifying username, and of course, never recycle passwords. Also good practice to use a VPN. If you’ve followed those instructions then who even cares if the site gets hacked? All they’ll have is your email and password for KF, which tells them nothing.

I have just checked all my emails.
The oldest has 3 but I rarely use it and nothing important is saved
The next one has 2 both old breaches
And my farms one has none. So either there was no breach or I'm not important enough to try to breach it.

And yes agree if you follow the steps outlined, then ah well they still know the square sum of fuck all about you.
I am about to go visit the farms now, I sure have missed it.

Only quibble is that the KF instructions are NOT to use a "throwaway" email. Instead, to use one that you use for no other purpose than KF registration. There is a polite reminder in the Telegram updates:

"I explicitly warned you not to use a throwaway because you would eventually need to reset your password."

Fair enough. I couldn’t remember what you call it when you have a second email for things like this.

Wow. I just went over for a look and it’s running faster than I have ever seen before.

Josh & chums have seemingly built their own DDOS protection - it would be ironic if this Keffals kerfuffle accidentally spawns Cloud Flare’s first real competitor and makes Josh a Silicon Valley style billionaire.

Necessity is the mother of invention so thanks Keffals. I hear Josh is offering to work with Justine if MNHQ needs similar help in future.
