The bank has teamed up with Channel 4 for a series of 'authentic' TV adverts

Luna, a 30-year-old transgender woman, wants advice on saving for surgery

She details how she is transitioning from male to female but her goal is surgery

An individual came up with this idea
Their team thought it was great
It got proposed to the client
The client thought it was great
The ad got commissioned
It got made
It got aired

At not one of those stages did someone say, "Er, this might not be a good campaign?".

It's baffling.

I don't have an issue with a person using a loan to privately fund their own plastic surgery. I do have an issue with the way this person has referred to getting breast augmentation. It's the language of fetishisation that I object to.
