Lesbians not welcome at Gay Pride

This is horrifying. Women (lesbians) told by police they are going to be removed because abuse is being hurled at these women.

Police do nothing about the person shouting the abuse.

Right… so even if that poster was really involved with the protest, they are talking about the % of the people at Pride.

Again, your evidence is flawed because it is based on a % of people watching or attending a pride event in Southern Wales. That is not in any way good evidence but it is of the standard you have tried to present in the past.

Do you even know how many lesbians attend pride vs not? You seem to exist in a bubble of people who only agree with you. Either you are dramatically misrepresenting that, or you are the intolerant one and disassociate from any person who disagrees with you, or as you have said now on other threads, you ignore the statements from people in the group you support that doesn’t fit the narrative you have built for yourself.

It could be any, none or a mixture of those options.

But you simply don’t have the evidence and repeating that you ‘know’ it, doesn’t even remotely mean it is true. And who on MN FWR is going to trust you anyway, you have admitted to brainwashing, laughed at it being pointed out about your hateful comments about heterosexual people, and that is just on this thread.

"Again, your evidence is flawed because it is based on a % of people watching or attending a pride event in Southern Wales. That is not in any way good evidence but it is of the standard you have tried to present in the past."

I can assure you, they would have been treated the same way at any pride parade in Britain. If you think otherwise it is only because you know so little about the LGBT community.

And again you are missing the point.

You don’t have any evidence to support your claim that you know that the majority think.

You have none at all.

Okay, let's flip it on its head - where's the evidence that both I and the transphobic poster who purported to be the disruptor at Cardiff Pride are wrong?

Both people who are pro and anti-trans rights are telling you the LGBT community is pro-trans rights - where's your evidence to the contrary?

Who do you think is anti trans rights? Most of us believe that people who identify as transgender should have the same rights as everyone else. Or does 'pro trans rights' mean something else?

The evidence is on you. You are making the grandiose claim here.

The onus is only on you. If you cannot support it with actual evidence, why?

IcakethereforeIam · 29/08/2022 22:05

What do you mean by trans rights? I don't believe I'm anti-trans rights (though I expect you'll tell me I'm transphobic regardless).

"The LGBT community believes in rights for all LGBT people" is not quite as "grandiose" a statement as you claim.

Strange that you seem to be unable to believe provide any evidence at all for your assertion. But then again, you are a non expert on these matters.

Helleofabore · 29/08/2022 22:14

And of course, there is the sleight of hand again.

Of course the LGBT community is pro trans rights.

Most people who post on MN are all for trans people having rights. They certainly need unique rights that protect them. And it is logical to expect a majority of LGB’T’ people to support trans people having rights.

The point was LGB people.

Your claim: ’That is why straight people on this forum keep calling LGB people "homophobic" for believing in something (trans rights) which the overwhelming majority of LGB people believe in.’

trans rights in this instance seems to be related to calling themselves lesbian and redefining the word. Why should any group have the right to change another group’s words that they have traditionally used to describe themselves?

Your usual tricks of twisting posts continues, I see.

Strange how that is the single thing you can try to use to discredit me.

It hasn’t yet worked. And as I point out, I point out the lack of coherence, logic and truthfulness in your posts.

I don’t have to be an expert in anything to do that.

Crack on. You can bring it up every post as you have done in the past. It doesn’t matter.

You have already ignored and talked over lesbians on this very thread.

How would me being any kind of ‘expert’ in LGB matters change the way you post?

It is in fact transphobes who are trying to change the definition of the word lesbian. Only today people on this thread have called lesbians who date trans women "bisexual". On what grounds do they get to police other peoples' identities?

If you were an expert you wouldn't post such nonsense and I wouldn't have to keep correcting you.

ButterstheCat · 29/08/2022 22:20

Gotta love an MRA telling lesbians they know nothing about the LGBT community.

Helleofabore · 29/08/2022 22:20

And you continue to avoid the point.

It is obvious you are doing it.

Really hearache. Is this dishonesty all you have?

IcakethereforeIam · 29/08/2022 22:27

So what are these 'trans rights' that we're, apparently so against. What 'trans-rights' were Get the L Out against? I thought they were defining themselves as same sex attracted lesbians, why is that so hateful?

justasking111 · 29/08/2022 22:30

Just watched a segment on the news Benjamin Butterworth talking about the Cardiff event. It descended into a slanging match. It's just depressing

Yes, transphobia is very depressing.

IcakethereforeIam · 29/08/2022 22:34

What's your definition of transphobia, can we narrow it down a smidge?

GertrudeKerfuffle · 29/08/2022 22:45

"It is in fact transphobes who are trying to change the definition of the word lesbian. Only today people on this thread have called lesbians who date trans women "bisexual". On what grounds do they get to police other peoples' identities?"

This only makes sense if you believe TWAW in that they have actually changed sex, since a lesbian is a woman who is sexual attracted to other women. And that's just not true. No matter how much you keep insisting, no one can change sex.

On what grounds do you think you can redefine 'woman' and 'lesbian'?

Datun · 29/08/2022 23:12

On what grounds do you think you can redefine 'woman' and 'lesbian'?

Ooh, ooh, I know this one. It's

"Happily brainwashed and joyfully part of the rainbow family! 🏳️‍🌈"

It could be one of the only truthful posts that you can expect in this instance though.

It is great to see it confirmed.

IcakethereforeIam · 29/08/2022 23:22

Uh! I wanna know what transphobia is! <pout>

Aside from everything Grin

Caroffee · 29/08/2022 23:32

It's looking like LGBT will split into two groups. L v G&T. Men vs women. The oldest storyline in the book.
