What I fear more than losing my site, being sued, or dealing with police is living in a world where [redacted by me as would be against MN talk guidelines] while normal people are not allowed to even discuss it.

The mob has already planned subsequent targets. Should we stay down, they will then attack 'gender critical' communities - especially those ran by and for women. Thanks for that - good summary, and not come across that Laura Hobbs before. I do dimly recall the original "viral video". (Not one of the most ridiculous of the genre, so it quite quickly faded I think).

Quite a heartwarming tale of reconciliation, and reacquiring a sense of perspective.

I think a lot of trans people are suffering from locking themselves into dangerously isolated and controlled online spaces, where they don't get to interact with normal people speaking openly, and end up all reinforcing lots of negative behaviour.

(Maybe it's partly kind of the social media equivalent of the modern phenomenon children suffering weak immune systems allegedly due to insufficient exposure when small?)

I think prescribing time on KF would do a lot of troubled young people a lot more good than prescribing medication.

as ive said I don’t do kf and I don’t necessarily do the ‘someone on kf did something wrong therefore kf is wrong’ thing

but because of that if someone said that they were being doxxed and were forced to move to a hotel I’d absolutely believe that…why wouldn’t i, whoever is at fault

see my problem with kiwi farms is that the posters on there love drama as much as the subjects. many of the posters are practically lolcows themselves. all that drama is exhausting

plus the language does make me clutch my pearls a bit

so I only go there when there's something specific I want to know that I won't be able to find out anywhere else. and I know it will be evidenced, so I can judge if I believe it or not

Scrutinising backgrounds and objects is a practice is actually encouraged by law enforcement to catch child predators.

That resdux article is a very good summary of the context of all this for anyone that doesn't have time to listen to the 4 hour YouTube. Keffals has been caught being inappropriate with underage boys and has riased $100,000 crowd funding off the back of complaining about KF exposing and documenting it. That's why he and his circle ar erecting to get it taken down and where all the 'far right' 'dog whistle' nonsense is coming from.

TRAs have so massively over used the 'far right' slur attempts that I don't think they realise how much power has been taken out of the accusation. I mean it's just silly isnt it? JKR is far right.
