Complaints against Baroness Nicholson being organised

An official compliant has been lodged with the @Conservatives Party in regard to @Baroness_Nichol’s online behaviour.

It comes after dozens of complaints were lodged with social media companies regarding her views on #trans.

The Conservative Party has been contacted for comment

The Baroness's current activities certainly tend to cause bloviation in those who oppose her!

The Baroness has a current keen focus on women's rights. And for that, I admire her very much. She is extremely eloquent and perceptive in her focus. And I thank her for it.

There's posters very much personally invested in discrediting Baroness Nicholson in something she said or did 20 years ago. There's stuff I did and said 20 years ago that I now feel like a twat about. Seems how life appears to work. You get older, more experienced - you learn.

She was an MP voting against gay rights, not a sixteen year old having too many snakebites, coming home and throwing up in their parent's porch.

Bills come before parliament, they are voted for, against, amended, bits voted for or against, more amendments until it goes through, or not and then they all move on and get on with the next one. Life moves on. You can't take the votes on one particular Bill and attach to a fixed, unchanging, ideological belief in perpetuity to it. That is for Twitter. 🙄

Baroness Nicholson is currently very incisive on women's rights. What her thoughts were 20 years ago are of no relevance or interest to me, right here, right now. I said and did extremely twattish things, 20 years ago. I am older and wiser and more experienced in life, now.

Baroness Nicholson has been engaged for years and is currently engaged in defending women's rights and children's rights against the men's trans rights onslaught, and they really, really hate her for it. As demonstrated by this current wave of tarring her, right here on this thread. She's hitting the target.

I'm not trying to "tar" anyone, I find that such a strange mindset.
Disagreeing with someone on their stance doesn't automatically mean you're trying to tar them.

20 years ago she was probably older than you are now. If she hadn't reached peak maturity by 60 years old, then that's even more to worry about.

I do wonder at what point the one issue voters would actually say "y'know, this person is actually agreeing with me on this issue, but given that everything else about them is shit, I might actually not vote for them."

You're going back even further than 20 years now, in order to monster a current politician, working in current circumstances. On safeguarding children and women.

However the bullying and ferocious pitchfork twitter mob are a real problem for us as a civilised society. It is hateful and hounding, with one aim - to silence and suppress.

This is ironically and sadly, the very kind of mob mentality which has silenced minority voices for years, and which has meant that gay people had to fight to even be heard. The ferocious silencing and cancelling culture is abhorrent.

It's what TRAs and MRAs are campainging for. Male access to what should be single-sex spaces for women and girls.
