Complaints against Baroness Nicholson being organised

Imnobody4 · 16/08/2022 19:53

An official compliant has been lodged with the @Conservatives Party in regard to @Baroness_Nichol’s online behaviour.

It comes after dozens of complaints were lodged with social media companies regarding her views on #trans.

The Conservative Party has been contacted for comment

twitter.com/ChamberVoice/status/1559229955543912450?t=wOEs_8EZI3NztrVZDlCUUA&s=19

Chamber voice is an on line 'news' outlet.

Apparently Twitter banned the Baroness, but immediately corrected after appeal.

They really are idiots, what do they think they achieve.

Trying to make women scared to speak out 😥

DoubleYouOhEmAyEn · 16/08/2022 20:17

Woman uses her platform to centre women. Unspeakable! Silence her immediately!

PrimAndProperPearlClutcher · 16/08/2022 21:05

That's great optics, TRAs, well done, keep it up.

ToGanymedeAndTitan · 16/08/2022 21:24

I saw her tweet, it was vile.
Talking about abbhorations of bodies, how is that just "using platform to centre women"? 🙄
Immediately corrected after appeal
That's just not how Twitter works.
If you have received a report for hateful conduct, you have to delete the tweet in order to regain full access to your account.
Seeing as she now seems to be tweeting again, the tweet has gone and so must have been made to take it down in able to to do so.

yourhairiswinterfire · 16/08/2022 21:39

Talking about abbhorations of bodies

She said aberrations, not abhorrations. There's a big difference.

ScrollingLeaves · 16/08/2022 21:43

What was her full tweet, does anyone here know?

ToGanymedeAndTitan · 16/08/2022 21:48

Ok then, abberations, 'scuse my spelling

Abberations
a departure from what is normal, usual, or expected, typically an unwelcome one.
How is that "just want to talk and protect women's spaces" or whatever?
Talking about people who are trans like that?
It shows the "debate" up for the disgusting shit hiding underneath "we just have legitimate concerns, honest".

Which tweet? The one about male extreme cosmetic suregery creating replicas of female body parts that female health professionals are expected assist with care of while the patient is in hospital?

A tweet pointing out that a particular female body part replication that may not have a high success rate in cosmetic surgery ? A particular female body part that requires maintainence to keep open and workable if it even was successful in male extreme cosmetic surgery. Because it is ‘unsustainable’ in a male body without constant attention?

That tweet?

I guess it is where people’s priorities for health care lie really, isn’t it? If you are centring males getting their desired exteme cosmetic surgery, then how are these operations successf? Where is the evidence that they are succeed.

Georgeskitchen · 16/08/2022 21:52

Her online behaviour. Do they mean protecting the rights of women and girls?

Helleofabore · 16/08/2022 21:55

So a male getting extreme cosmetic surgery should be priortised above other surgeries? Why?

What is the criteria for prioritisation?

IsadoraQuagmire · 16/08/2022 21:59

Excellent tweet from the Baroness, she tells it like it is.

ToGanymedeAndTitan · 16/08/2022 22:02

Where are you getting that this surgery is being prioritised?
That hasn't been mentioned anywhere, just added on by your imagination.

ScrollingLeaves · 16/08/2022 22:03

I have found a copy of what she said. It is a vehement expression of horror at the proxy vaginas created by NHS surgeons for trans women, and at how nurses have to care for them post surgery. Her wording and tone suggest monstrosity.

While sympathising with her on feeling very concerned by this sort of operation, I do think that if these surgeries are prescribed for gender dysphoria, as they are, I don’t think the patients should be given an added sense of self-loathing by the sort of description she has given which comes over as cruel.

It is the surgeons and gender clinics advising the surgery who are at fault.

Because they are happening while other people wait for their surgeries?

Isn’t that logical?

If they weren’t high in the priority queue, then considering the backlog of other surgeries needed still after lock down (unless you are telling us that the NHS is up to date), they would be put on hold wouldn’t they?

Happy to have someone who works on listing surgeries in the NHS explain how the priority is worked out. Do you have that expertise ganymede? Is your expertise that expansive?

ToGanymedeAndTitan · 16/08/2022 22:14

The other tweeter if that's what you're referring to having to wait for surgery - how are you jumping to a trans person getting surgery too is being prioritised over them?
Lots of people are having to wait for surgery.
What, it's all trans people's fault for having surgery too? 😕
Strange reach

No it isn't logical. You don't know how long they've been waiting. They've not being prioritised if they've been on a waiting list for years. It's just that their turn has come up now. Just a anyone waiting for surgery will eventually get it while thousands of people are still waiting for theirs.

ToGanymedeAndTitan · 16/08/2022 22:17

No, it's not logical as people wait for surgery as others have surgery before them all the time!
It's hardly trans people's fault for the concept of waiting lists.

Lots of people are having to wait for surgery

And I would like everyone who is in pain, has a life-threatening disease or is becoming disabled to go to the top of the list.

Cosmetic surgery should be right at the bottom of the list. Potentially harmful and unnecessary surgery shouldn't even be on the list.

Coyoacan · 16/08/2022 22:43

I didn't see the tweet, but I do find the idea of people mutilating their healthy bodies abhorent. Sorry Ganymede. I honestly think there has to be a better way to make people feel happy in their bodies.

An official compliant has been lodged with the @Conservatives Party in regard to @Baroness_Nichol’s online behaviour.

How can we show our support? I'm not on Twitter and they would ignore me anyway as I'm not backed by a pitchfork-wielding mob. Who should we contact at the Conservative party?

Women like Emma Nicholson make me consider the possibility of voting Conservative for the first time in my long life. The Tories must realise they gain votes every time some Labour or LibDem toady repeats the trans mantra. All they have to do is hold the line.

I may not actually bring myself to vote Tory. But as long as they're the only candidates I'm offered who don't want to erase women, I won't vote for any of their opponents.

XDownwiththissortofthingX · 16/08/2022 22:48

Nice, so women waiting for reconstructive breast surgery post-breast cancer just get dumped to the bottom and told 'tough'.

Potentially harmful and unnecessary surgery shouldn't even be on the list

So any surgery requiring the administration of General Anaesthesia then?

OppsUpsSide · 16/08/2022 22:48

Sums it up well.

Datun · 16/08/2022 23:06

Good lord. It's got fuck all to do with the way she frames things and everything to do with how effective she is.

And anyone with an ounce of knowledge of this issue or the smallest perception knows it.

And if they think that trying to silence a Tory Baroness is the way to influence anyone, including the government, they're barking.

Honestly, I don't think I've ever known a movement so characterised by their supreme mastery of the own goal.
