We really do not. Gender-critical feminism is now firmly associated with the extreme right-wing.

And the communists. Don’t forget them. It’s almost as if there’s a range of people across the political spectrum who aren’t idiots who believe humans can change sex 🤔.

CrossStichQueen · 08/08/2022 23:38

Oh come on.
GC women started let clothes be clothes, they promote females and males not conforming to a gendered society norms our problem is we are vocal about it! Bloody vocal wiimen!!

Gender-critical feminism is now firmly associated with the extreme right-wing.

Maybe, in your little internet bubble.

In the real world, most decent people would agree with gender critical feminists that, for example, rapists shouldn't be locked up with vulnerable female prisoners. That women's sport is for women and it's dangerous and unfair to include men. That lesbians aren't ''sexual racists'' for being same-sex attracted. That putting children on drugs that stunt their development because of the toys they play with or the clothes they wear is regressive, ridiculous bullshit. And that people shouldn't be visited by the police for committing the non-crime of having a legitimate opinion or hurting someone's feelings.

It's always surprising when trans ''rights'' activists come to sneer about our 'associations'. Like, really? Trans ''rights'' activists have assaulted women, hounded people out of their jobs, defended sex offenders, doxxed women and turned up at their homes, they send rape, death and bomb threats frequently, they've shouted sexual abuse (''suck my dick'', etc) and chalked dicks on the pavement outside women's meetings where women speakers are talking about genocide, forced abortion and rape, they got a rape crisis centre shut down and wrote misogynistic slurs on the windows and nailed a dead rat to the door, they turn up to women's gatherings dressed like thugs with visible erections as they hurl abuse at women, many of them are openly homophobic and racist (comparing black women to men). Then there was the tweeting porn at children taking part in JKR's art competition on Twitter. And on and on and on, but I'll stop there else I'll be here all night...

But it's gender critical feminists that are the extremists?

Lol.

Miller and Fox aren't "extreme right wing."

You have to have a pretty narrow range of knowledge to think that. They are both liberal democrats, like mostly everyone has been in western society for generations, they are not arguing for racial essentialism, taking the vote away from women, government controlled press, theocracy, or anything like that.

If there are people who take that seriously, there is really nothing to be done, because it is impossible to understand the political landscape with that level of knowledge.

How is it legal to charge wrongthinkers £80 to attend a re-education class to 'avoid prosecution' for something that they couldn't actually be prosecuted for anyway?

Scamming twats.

I’d be interested to know:
a) who the £80 went to (SW? Police? ???)
b) what was taught at the reeducation courses?
c) how many people have been “re-educated”

Do you really find this old trope convincing? Or are you just incapable of understanding what happens when we turn the mirror back on supporters of prioritising one group’s rights over the rights and protections of women and girls, females?

Shall we post all the types of people that the argument could be said that ‘you’ support? We have plenty of examples so we could keep posting and fill up the thread.

Of course, as mature adults, we realise that simply sharing one point of view (usually from different aspects) doesn’t lead to a ‘firm association’. But using your low bar, we could show you who you have a ‘firm association’ with?

Shall we? Or can we just get over this tired overused hyperbole and discuss the issues like adults?

Let’s not play the who is associated with who game. It’s not the winning logic you think it is.

Unless you agree with the likes of Peter Tatchell….

I don’t know. I think I would start with a French intellectual, then move on to Tatchell, then post all those statements uttered by prominent and often lauded transitioned males who seem to really hate women. Then the likes of Nancy Kelley and the list really quickly grows from there.

All either transitioned people or their passionate supporters, who have made these statements publicly and often the statements were self published, but obviously antelope will be aligned with ALL their views. Because that is the ridiculous accusation being leveled at feminists.

although i admire your optimism at this point anyone playing the ‘who is associated with who’ game ( which is a really lazy version of the 7 degrees of kevin bacon game) is not going to get over it, and in many, many cases is unable to discuss the issue….at all

personally as i am a petty vindictive kinda person i would absolutely turn it round on them…and although I understand the concept of ‘golden bridge’ there are a lot of people that I wouldn’t let cross it

Ereshkigalangcleg · 09/08/2022 08:21

They aren't helping feminism; try to take a step back and look at the wider picture. Other people are also affected by what's happening. We benefit indirectly from situations like this.

This.
