I didn't realise he was a her now, until seeing him on a programme about the Edinburgh Fringe the other night. Frank Skinner deftly sidestepped the pronouns conundrum by saying Eddie did this and Eddie did that, rather than calling him she like all the other sheep.

Relax, unless I've missed one, this country has never elected to mp a female impersonator.

No interviewer ever calls him out.

Isn't he just? I was SUCH a huge fan of his, I’ve seen him live and he was very much the comedian of my teenage years. I can quote huge chunks of his act and still reference them (when I mix my languages up: “Oh, he was from everywhere…”).

But he’s just an embarrassment now - his arrogance and self absorption means he just can’t seem to see how offensive he is to women and how tone deaf his actions are. No Eddie, you don’t get to have a little
sojourn to Womania before skipping back to ManLand when it’s convenient to you.

It's fine for him to flip around with gender expression and identity. Good on him. But as long it's clear that his sex is male and therefore cannot play womens sports, get womens awards or use facilities that are protected for women just because he's in 'girl mode'. I think don't think Eddie Izzard is an entitled TA.

Too late for that I'm afraid, eddie does use and has used women's spaces for many years.

Eddie has previously spoken about how he was the victim when some teenage girls challenged him for being in the women's toilet. If I recall Eddie had gone in the women's to change mode (clothes)

Around the same time Eddie was wondering if Eddie was a lesbian, I believe.

Calling yourself a woman (or 'girl' in Eddie's case), or a lesbian, is just as much an invasion as using our toilets and changing rooms.

I remember back in the early days on a chat show Nigella Lawson was telling him the dress thing was clearly connected to the loss of his mother when he was a child.

I am assuming that they are detachable, in order to obtain the more lucrative and abundant male parts in the acting sphere.

I do love how the DM are trolling him with their descriptions though.

I heard a sexologist talking about this in relation to cross dressing. He said that libido drops as men get older so whereas they used to be able to get turned on by regular sex without indulging in their fetish, as their libido drops they need their fetish to get turned on or conversely they don't want to waste what libido they do have on sex that's not the most satisfying for them. So the fetish becomes more important.

Not every man has a fetish. He did say that they tend to cluster so men with one might have several.
