This is an article citing “research”, which comes from the metro, by a female percentage who believes themselves to be a man.

stonewll does not understand normal child development and this charity is doing harm

They are showing very clearly that they don’t understand child development and it’s dangerous that they are allowed anywhere near schools.

Who can we complain to?

ScreamingMeMe · 23/07/2022 13:14

Bloody hell 😯

MrsOvertonsWindow · 23/07/2022 13:20

Before the organisations, schools and local authorities safeguarding children were captured by Stonewall, GIRES, Gendered Intelligence, Global Butterflies etc, they would never have allowed any organisation to push an ideology at children - especially one that promotes regressive stereotypes and advocates drugs and surgery to children.
Now - who knows? It seems the government were slowly waking up to the harm that's been visited on children by these groups with ministers for education, health in particular starting to lead a roll back. Now with all the chaos in government - who knows? It's in times of chaos that those seeking to disguise their intentions often exploit the system so I'm not surprised to see the increased targeting of the very young and vulnerable at this time.

The parents of this child kept asking whether they were a boy or a girl today and one day when the girl said she was a boy today, they took that as some kind of inner gender identity.

The mother of this child is an FTM trans person.

Dear lord. So the mother's attitude to females is being pressed on the (female) child.

The fact that it's so disturbing is one thing. Newspapers and government funded charities endorsing it, is quite another. Horrifying.

NoNina · 23/07/2022 13:24

Those parents are unhinged and SS should be keeping a very close eye.

Metabigot · 23/07/2022 13:30

Great work stonewall... this is gonna peak loads of people.

Love it when they shoot off an own goal like this.

Helleofabore · 23/07/2022 13:32

The tweet has an encouraging ratio. What a load of bollocks they spout!

I suspect that the reception teacher who told the little girl that she is always a girl was very much aware of what is clearly extremely strong encouragement to identify as a boy from the parents. I’d imagine that teacher has a great deal to say about that particular situation.

What "research"? Still unclear to me. Even the Metro thing says something about "research" but doesn't cite any.

Maybe it's some of Diane Ehrensaft's research. She believes that even babies can know if they are transgender.

CharlieAndTooManyCharacters · 23/07/2022 13:40

Can I give the unintentional irony award for today to this reply please.

Stonewall have change the word “research”

Can I give the unintentional irony award for today to this reply please.

I find this hugely concerning. LGBTQ books and activities have already found their way into EY settings.

A recent primary school assembly on LGBTQ resulted in several 8 & 9 year old girls 'coming out' as lesbians. This caused a big issue and many playground tiffs. 8 & 9 year old do not need lessons on being gay.it can wait until at least 5 & 6.

The rainbow flag is firmly embedded in many British nurseries and primary schools. It will creep further down the age ladder until babies are outed as LGBTQ+++++ by their loving parents and care takers.

But, hey, nothing to see here right?

CharlieAndTooManyCharacters · 23/07/2022 14:03

It is hugely concerning. The fact that a whole agenda is presenting putting kids into categories and herding them towards the ones that suit the agenda as ‘letting kids explore’ is awful. As is the fact that naive fools who think they’re progressive and ‘on the right side of history’ applaud this.

It’s still unintentionally ironic though. Just the kind of irony that makes you want to weep.

Metro don't seem to allow comments on any of their nonsensical trans articles anymore. That's because they know what all the comments would say!

MummBRaaarrrTheEverLeaking · 23/07/2022 14:23

Someone on their twitter team forgot to turn off replies I reckon, you wouldn't normally see this kind of dangerous bollocks spouted without blocking replies first. They want to carry on showing everyone who they really are, fine by me, maybe it'll get their claws out of their "champions" sooner when they see who and what they're giving money to.

It's good to see everyone really push back on this. Like the recent You Gov poll, people want to be kind and tolerant - but it was never enough, and now they've pushed this onto sports and kids it's a hard no now.

It's a shame that it wasn't enough when women said no, and we would have never got to the 2 year olds know they are transgender crap we see today. And Stonewall may still well have stood for something good, but they are way past saving.

IStandWithMaya · 23/07/2022 14:32

More codswallop from Stonewall

Thelnebriati · 23/07/2022 14:44

Why isn't the NSPCC all over this?

NoNina · 23/07/2022 14:45

Just the kind of irony that makes you want to weep.

Absolutely!

Following this trajectory, soon parents will be free to choose their newborns 'gender' rather than their sex being observed and recorded. The parents will say I feel this is a girl because baby made cute squeaky little sounds when she was born or we feel this is a boy because he roared like an angry feisty bear baby when I pushed him out.

No more ‘gender disappointment’ threads then…

ScrollingLeaves · 23/07/2022 14:52

Hugh stern replying agrees with Stonewall and quotes from Wikipedia.
^At this point, children can make firm statements about their gender(13)15) and tend to choose activities and toys which are considered appropriate for their genderl131 (such as dolls and painting for girls, and tools and rough-housing for boys), 16)
although they do not yet fully understand the implications of gender 15) After age three, it is extremely difficult to change gender identity. (12)^

How can people not see how this does not make sense.

If painting is for ‘girls’, I wonder if they think Picasso, Matisse, Leonardo da Vinci, Titian et Al were really trans gender?

ResisterRex · 23/07/2022 14:54

Thelnebriati · 23/07/2022 14:44

Why isn't the NSPCC all over this?

Maybe because of this kind of thing (from late 2020):

www.barnardos.org.uk/news/joint-statement-barnardos-nspcc-national-childrens-bureau-and-childrens-society-about-gender

"As the debate intensifies around Wednesday’s judicial review of the application of the Gillick competence principle to NHS Tavistock Portman’s Clinic’s hormone treatment of under 16’s who identify as trans, Barnardo’s, NSPCC, National Children’s Bureau and The Children’s Society have released a joint statement.
In the statement the charities say:
“As children’s charities, we believe in, support, and stand in solidarity with all children and young people who are trans, non-binary, gender non-conforming, or exploring their gender identity. We celebrate who they are and work with them to help them reach their potential.

“On matters of health treatment all children have the right to be listened to independently and have their wishes taken seriously – this includes children and young people who identify as trans and who may be undergoing hormone treatment therapy.
“Many trans children and young people feel lonely and isolated due to a lack of support, understanding, and acceptance. Denying them agency has the potential to compound this and can put them at high risk of mental illness and emotional distress, potentially affecting their long-term future.

“But we also know that with the right support from the adults in their lives, trans young people can lead happy and healthy childhoods. It’s vital that trans children and young people feel listened to, understood and accepted.”"

Datun · 23/07/2022 15:14

There needs to be an investigation into Stonewall. A once respected charity for gay people appears to have been taken over by men's rights activists Cushion and I'm sound, ideology.

What happens when things like this occur? This can't be unprecedented. Charities trading on goodwill and reputation, with a mission that has completely changed under the radar.

NoNina · 23/07/2022 15:15

WTF are "activities and toys which are considered appropriate for their gender"? Painting is not appropriate for boys? Tools not appropriate for girls? Shame that my dd helped her dad build cabinets since she was 3 and super shame that my ds loves to paint and draw, I'll go to Primary and buy him a few summer dresses. On this note I should burn my garden tools or come out as a trans man, right?

How dare they?

ResisterRex · 23/07/2022 15:25

There needs to be an investigation into Stonewall.

I agree. But it need to be drawn widely in order to pull in the influence and implementation, and promotion of the affirmation model. It needs to include GIRES, the NSPCC, Barnardo's, the teaching unions. The lot. Something a bit like this in how its shaped:

sex-matters.org/take-action/take-action-archive/sign-our-letter/

CharlieAndTooManyCharacters · 23/07/2022 15:25

All that Wikipedia summary of research tells us is that even very young children can tell what gendered norms and expectations are, so prominent are they in society.

Yet, while 3 year olds are often hugely dogmatic in their adherence to gender stereotypes, older children (and adults) are often far more flexible about them.

It’s simply not true that gender identity is essential or fixed.

My 4 yr old was really into steam locomotives.

Should I now claim that he was a trains identifying toddler?
