LGB Alliance to plan helpline with Lottery funding

Fantastic news.

I would link to their Twitter announcement, but in usual state of play, Twitter has marked it ' may not be appropriate for people under 18'. A helpline planned for 13 to 25 year olds, planned by a panel of experts in child protection, education, helpline delivery, fundraising and psychology.

Yep - shut them down (much better to have helplines planned by IT workers who took their child to Thailand...)

As LGB Alliance state there is no dedicated national service of its kind for young LGB people in the UK.

I'm sure the Lottery Fund will be getting a lot of feedback right now, given the outpouring of hyperbole against LGB Alliance right now on Twitter.

So they may appreciate feedback from those who may see this as a positive move too:

""We really value your feedback. If you have a comment or complaint about the services that we provide, or if there's something important you think we should know, we'd love to hear it. Please email us at [email protected]"

The Feminist Library was captured some years ago, sadly.

Anything that was for women or represented women's voices was a tactical target. Now all those female organisations are political puppets for an agenda driven by and seeking benefits for male people.

However this is now widely known and their power as women's voices are long since gone.

Ugh, that fecking hyperbole again 🙄

"Not centring transpeople AT ALL TIMES, IN EVERYTHING EVER" does not equal "messages of hate" or "transphobia". Unless World Horse Welfare is also transphobic for centring the needs of horses and not letting leopards identify as Appaloosas.

Common sense prevails.
Trades Union Congress vows to fight anti-trans LGB Alliance in near-unanimous vote www.pinknews.co.uk/2022/07/02/lgb-alliance-trades-union-congress/

"It really does seem their supporters are simply just a crew of Twitter trolls who enact bizarre pile-ons.”"
Oh yes I can attest to that!

ZandathePanda · 02/07/2022 13:33

0.0036%, of the 5.5 million the TUC represents, vote to fight LGB Alliance in a near unanimous vote doesn’t quite sound as good though does it?

Indeed. Look at the relentless targeting of Mumsnet. Personal attacks on Justine, targeting the advertisers, TRA, after TRA trying to discredit the women on here, over and over.

None of it worked, fortunately.

Even siloing us off down into the basement has backfired.

Because, as we've seen on this thread, there is no credible argument to be had. Just self-contradiction and rank denial.

Artichokeleaves · 02/07/2022 14:44

I really am done with trying to discuss with this ridiculous mix of denialism and just flat slurring while ignoring any attempt to share any other information, evidence, perspective. It's like trying to talk to Trump.

I'm just posting around this, I won't engage with it any further. And I hope as these endless vexatious attempts on the LGBA, as it tries to represent those of us formerly of the LGB being stomped all over by the happy denialist politics who insist they're not stomping, that stomping is a colonialist construct, and actually they identify as not having feet or you existing anyway, actually reaches the reality of evidenced law that they find that personal realities have limits in any sane society.

This is madness now, there's a point beyond which it just can't be indulged any longer.

John Nicolson MP

At the Culture Committee today, I asked the Culture Minister @CPhilpOfficial if it was appropriate for the ‘LGB Alliance’ to receive a @TNLComFund lottery grant given the Alliance’s history of abusive online behaviour.

Ooh let's look at Stonewall and Action for Trans Health's Twitter history shall we?

Or do we only morally police the living fuck out of groups who Aren't Like Us?

LettuceB · 05/07/2022 17:38

Is there any proof that the LGB Alliance called him a rape-enabler and a peadophile?

It's pretty outrageous for an MP to be saying this if its not true.
