The reason for commencing proceedings against both is to cover all the bases and prevent the entity you did sue claiming the other one is the only liable party.

Thank you for the explanation! So that’s why GCC are being sued as two entities. It’s so satisfying when you get an answer to a question you didn’t even know your brain was wondering about.

ickky · 20/05/2022 09:45

JK saying AB was angry rather than upset. You can see the upset in the language AB uses in that email.

OP posts:
Mmmnotsure · 20/05/2022 09:47

JK again saying that AB is 'angry' - she uses that word alone, and did so yesterday.

What BC has just read out of AB's words is a lot of things, she sounds sad and distraught, etc, rather than angry.

Ameanstreakamilewide · 20/05/2022 09:47

It definitely came across as sad, to me; wistful, even.

OvaHere · 20/05/2022 09:47

Shamelessly placemaking for today. Finally have a day where I'm not very busy so hoping to follow some of it live.

ColMustardInTheLibrary · 20/05/2022 09:48

Morning! Have they started yet? Im
dialled in but just see a black screen.

NoImAVeronica · 20/05/2022 09:48

The reason they didn't know is because they didn't look. Absolutely ridiculous as a defence. As is the suggestion that the person on the receiving end of the threats didn't deserve support because they weren't constantly flagging it.

chilling19 · 20/05/2022 09:49

If it wasn't so early, I would suggest a drinking game - a drink for every:

'I can't recall'
'We were too busy'
'I don't know'
'It was two years ago'
'It was the marketing depts (or anybody but mine) fault'
'I don't use Twitter'

NoImAVeronica · 20/05/2022 09:49

Also - can we add 'two and a half years ago' to the bingo card please? 🙄

nauticant · 20/05/2022 09:50

GCC barristers are continually slipping in the times of emails when they're sent very late at night or very early in the morning. The goal would seem to be to imply that AB was obsessive.

IdisagreeMrHochhauser · 20/05/2022 09:51

Insisting on reading that whole email out was an own goal wasn't it?

IDidntKnowItWasAParty · 20/05/2022 09:51

Oh my what a nasty letter from JK to AB. "you as an intelligent woman have chosen to take a controversial position etc" "you created this situatoin" "you didn't inform us beforehand" "you had a duty to alert us" "we had to deal with this at short notice while dealing with other things" etc

Clymene · 20/05/2022 09:51

1.38 in the morning. If JK mentions this once again, I'm going to scream

ColMustardInTheLibrary · 20/05/2022 09:51

Ah, my bad, sorted now

NoImAVeronica · 20/05/2022 09:52

Chilling we'd be under the table by ten!

Clymene · 20/05/2022 09:52

And no, you didn't show any compassion JK

Zeugma · 20/05/2022 09:52

‘It was very late at night’ - another for the bingo-card.

ickky · 20/05/2022 09:52

JK talking over BC to say angry again when BC said extremely upset!

We see you JK.

OP posts:
chilling19 · 20/05/2022 09:52

Yes, to add:

'It was 5 in the morning'
'She should have picked up the phone'

IDidntKnowItWasAParty · 20/05/2022 09:52

Do we have "I had sent that email late at night after working hard all day" on the bingo card

IdisagreeMrHochhauser · 20/05/2022 09:52

This is a work of genius

It is rather clear Spindle that there are some posters who simply cannot understand the many aspects and layers of why many on these threads appreciate Ben Cooper. The list is very long.

Sorry, one last thing. I want to add, loudly for sorry, is that I am not even sure it would matter if Ben Cooper is critical of gender identity or what 'side' he is on as long as he was not an extreme trans rights activist and all that entails.

We suppose that he is not (and extreme trans rights activist) due to the very fact that he does have a very deep understanding of Maya and Allison's views by this stage and we have rarely seen an extreme trans right activist who does have that level of understanding . I am sure there are a few out there, but as I say, they are rare, and they regularly end up grasping the wrong end of the stick.

nauticant · 20/05/2022 09:52

Actually for this email, the sending was from JK so mentioning the time was to convey the message that JK and GCC were so pressed by the multiple crises that they were barely able to keep up, and AB was the icing on the cake.

tabbycatstripy · 20/05/2022 09:52

‘If Alison had picked up the phone...’

Maybe she was upset, or scared? You can’t blame her for not reacting in a specific, tolerated way to your rudeness and negligence.

Ameanstreakamilewide · 20/05/2022 09:53

We have to add 'being HoC was a labour of love, etc' to the bingo card.
