When you say 'oral evidence' tomorrow, what does that actually entail? Is it BC/OD giving their views or is it something else?

MoonOnASpoon · 21/03/2022 16:02

And if you don't match the characteristics of your star sign, it's not because those labels are wrong, it's because your date of birth is wrong, and you should've been born on a different date that reflects who you truly are as a person.

And that makes you special and oppressed, and liable to be murdered at the drop of a hat by people who hate you for being "different" (or so you claim). If you are not special in this way, you are nasty oppressive cis-zodiacal, which means that your characteristics DO match your birthdate (even if they actually don't, it's just that you realise it's all nonsense).

DomesticatedZombie · 21/03/2022 16:06

@PrelateChuckles

Everyone has a date of birth, so everyone has a star sign, right? And that star sign says they have certain characteristics inherent to them because of their date of birth.

And if you don't match the characteristics of your star sign, it's not because those labels are wrong, it's because your date of birth is wrong, and you should've been born on a different date that reflects who you truly are as a person.

Yes. And many people take starsigns very seriously. Make serious life decisions based on starsigns.

I think it's an excellent analogy.

What is the difference between a starsign and a gender identity?

DomesticatedZombie · 21/03/2022 16:07

Tabby I really wish I could send you a bunch of flowers.

And you, Maya, of course!

Thank you for all that you've done; I don't think we will yet appreciate the impact this will all have.

Flowers Gin
tabbycatstripy · 21/03/2022 16:15

No flowers for me - all the credit to Maya (regardless of the outcome).

tabbycatstripy · 21/03/2022 16:19

If I dropped the contents of the whole document in here, would it post?

It is the closing statements for BC/OD.

Thanks @Whatamesssss

Do you mean the court bundle or the stuff Maya requested?

Either way try it.

It didn't work. Too big. Email address for @MForstater if possible, please.

Send her a DM, she might not want her email made public.

@tabbycatstripy

Or could you try slitting it into a few posts? That's if your poor nubs fingers still work.

Thanks.

tabbycatstripy · 21/03/2022 16:31

Think it will be too big (it's huge).

Simonedinovoir · 21/03/2022 16:56

@tabbycatstripy You can paste it into a Google doc: www.google.com/docs/about/

You’ll need to set a Google account if you don’t have one or if you want to use a separate account for this. You can then DM Maya with a link to the doc.

tabbycatstripy · 21/03/2022 17:26

Where does that go when you actually save it and can others then see your email? Sorry, I'm a technophobe.

tabbycatstripy · 21/03/2022 17:28

Not to exaggerate unnecessarily with the suffix 'phobe' - I'm just not very good.

FacebookPhotos · 21/03/2022 17:37

It saves to google's computers (the same as your emails do). I'm not sure if others can see your email address, but you can set up a new "throw away" account for it if you want.

tabbycatstripy · 21/03/2022 17:38

Thanks. I'll see what MF prefers. I'd rather not have links to any email floating about if I can help it (but will do that if it's preferred).

Manderleyagain · 21/03/2022 17:39

Stepawayfromtheminstrels He has to address all the points in Maya's claim, whether she has met the burden of proof, if not, why not.

Thanks that is what I wanted to hear. I am hopeful the judgement will be a really useful resource for anyone having to consider these issues at work, and especially for those other women bringing cases. But I am aware that a tribunal at this level isn't binding, and also lower courts have been making really batty decisions on this so I am not getting ahead of myself.

Well done maya for holding steady. And you have been playing a blinder on the promotion & transparency side, publishing all of the docs and tweeting the clippings of statements etc at relevant points.

Simonedinovoir · 21/03/2022 17:41

Yes, others would be able to see the Google account you saved it with (eg if you were logged in as [email protected] then it would show as a doc owned by [email protected] - I think, although I’m no expert either).

Each Google account gets a certain amount of free storage and the doc would be saved within that area associated with the account. You can set who can see/edit the doc in the sharing settings, eg you can create a link and set it so that anyone with the link can edit and then just share the link with Maya.

Simonedinovoir · 21/03/2022 17:42

Sorry I was really slow with that reply!

tabbycatstripy · 21/03/2022 17:49

That's alright! Thank you.

tabbycatstripy · 21/03/2022 18:07

Sent it in the end.
