Sorry this is a bit off topic.
It was World Book Day recently- our school had a loose theme of Harry Potter for the dress code. We had the usual superhero outfits (in a deprived area parents will send their kid in what they have, not what they go and buy for the day) but the school was full of Harrys and Hermionies and Hogwarts staff . There was far more Potter outfits than anything else. So not many parents boycotting her work there. Also the borough is doing a reading thing where a Potter book is sent from school to school and the kids add drawings before passing it on.
Why choose such a “controversial” and “hated” “bigot”? Because IRL JK Rowling is loved and respected by so many. People agree with her or don’t care. They like the books/films/humanitarian work.
Twitter might hate her and it may be voguish to slate her but it’s a different situation in reality.
