What's she's doing is standing in front of women who are more vulnerable so that the arrows hit her. She's absolutely amazing and I love her.

Have you actually read everything she has said ? She believes the Trans community should have rights , just that they should not over ride the rights of women .

And actually you should be pleased tha she is bringing the debate to the table . The more we talk about the self ID situation the better . It’s when you can’t talk and accused of being a bigot if you do that the debate becomes MORE dangerous .

She is small minded.

She may not understand trans women, but does that give her the right to be so completely lacking in empathy?

As someone above said, she is entitled to an opinion. As am I. I see nothing to admire in her.

I think she, and a fair few other women, understand all too well.

I do laugh when people call women 'small minded' for knowing that women don't have penises.

I disagree. Her writing is veyr much in demand and does not need empty gestures to support it. The more likely consequence would be that people who cannot afford to buy her books would not be able to read them.

I love JKR for using her skill with words to speak out for women and girl. But I love her writing even more.

I’ve never read a Harry Potter book or watched the films. However I love Rawling! What a women. I work in local govt and I’m terrified to say anything in case I lose my job.

She does. And even when she ruffled feathers by celebrating marriage equality in Ireland, and supporting the casting of black actresses to play Hermione on stage, she didn't receive anything like this level of threats and abuse. In other words, the ^racists and homophobes^ conduct themselves with more decency than many of her current detractors.

She just doesn't support validating gender identity as no different to natal sex to the point where it puts women in danger and strips them of their rights and fair opportunities.

And that's apparently incredibly offensive to many people.

Oh they got the anti semitism accusations in recently. Remember the goblins thing? 🙄

Shame she didn't write them in any way that actually invoked antisemitic stereotypes. They're pale with dome shaped heads, long fingers and feet and that's about it. She didn't even make them up as creatures.

Then again, the fact that Lupin wasn't gay or trans is taken by some people as proof of her transphobia. I wish I were making this up.

Goes to show you how important it is to write and send support. She's obviously reading/recording them in some capacity.

I just love the fact that it really doesn't matter what she says now, she got the death threats, the pictures of penises in response to the kids drawings, the doxxing, so whatever she says now she's pretty much had it all lobbed at her and still she rises.

Every tweet is simply well constructed magic. Which is what she excels at.

I love her so much. She genuinely makes me cry with joy when I read her thoughts. I often feel like I’m in a losing battle but she gives me hope as she is so bloody brave.

So pleased to see this today from the wonderful JKR. And yes to the poster who commented that she's standing in front of all the women who can't speak out.
