I think there is so much to worry about with Ukraine, I wasn't expecting this statement from MI6 about freedoms.... I think a whole society is at risk yet there is more pontificate and point scoring which suggest a 'wall influence.

Completely tone deaf

What an utter utter imbecile. Children are being killed and he comes out with this pish. Is he drunk or something?

littlebilliie · 26/02/2022 23:33

He's actually being thrashed by everyone on Twitter, it seems such an inane comment. Normal life and liberty has gone for millions of people and our head of our inland security is posting..

He's either a fucking moron or the blue-haired intern got hold of his account.

Either way that doesn't bode well

I suspect it’s actually a really smart plot. Convince your enemies that the ‘best’ we have is an immature man baby… let them vastly underestimate you…

I hope.

Whitefire · 26/02/2022 23:56

Yes it is only our LGBTQ rights that set us apart from Putin, absolutely nothing else.

I'm trying to figure if there is a right sentiment behind it, but I'm struggling. Time and a place.

samsalmon · 26/02/2022 23:57

He’s having his arse handed to him in a brilliant way.

My favourite so far:

"Putin may win. But we’ll have amassed the most
@stonewalluk points. And that is the real victory."

buckeejit · 27/02/2022 00:08

This is incredible.

Redshoeblueshoe · 27/02/2022 00:13

Please tell me this is a joke
Ok I'll pop over to Twitter

I may be gone some time . . . . .

I await the Douglas Murray column.

Toseland · 27/02/2022 00:16

I’ve often wondered what the security services have been doing whilst corporations and public services fell one by one to an ideology that inserted itself in such a totalitarian manner in democratic society - unfortunately it seems they were waving flags and isn’t it all just lovely.

Joolsin · 27/02/2022 00:16

I don't understand why his name is out there and why he's on Twitter anyway. How can the secret service be secret if they're on social media and blabbing their every inane thought for all to roll eyes at?

KittenKong · 27/02/2022 00:19

Maybe he’s not real - like Ronald McDonald - and the wee YTS lad is running the account?

He really has lost all credibility and made MI6 a bloody laughing stock. Hehim has to go.

SpinningTheSeedsOfLove · 27/02/2022 00:21

So it's actually real? Like, really real?

I have often wondered if Russia was supporting/backing the LBGTQ+ behemoth in order to undermine western societies. When, in the face of an aggressive military invasion right on our doorstep, the head of MI6 posts tweets like this it suggests Putin was successful.

I used to think comments like that were jokes or tinfoil hat. But I am much less sure than I was.

This day and age, in the vast array of technology, a secret service can still be secret yet still interact, with the public, for example the cia, on their Facebook channel regularly has articles ect.

How did you conclude that analysis ? Do you have a point by point analysis to support your perspectives ?

When did the intelligence services, shape or contain philosophy of different corporations ?

Hardly a constructive and productive analysis.
