It's interesting to me how the trans supportive posters here generally stick to discussion of the facts and rarely post personal attacks. Only to be met with post after post of personal attacks. Almost as if one side is happy to debate, but the other side prefers bullying.

Let’s just look at some of your excellent well documented posts…

There was the dodgy survey supposedly on kink habits to convince us we were pearl clutching prudes and therefore safeguarding for GG should reflect this new era of kink.

There was the claim that you speak for working class women and know their needs and thoughts… because you know some working class women… while speaking over, you guessed it, working class women.

There was the claim that the first wave of detransitioners have retransitioned because of abuse from gender critical feminists.

There was the claim that no females in prison would come into contact with any non-fully transitioned males since 2019 based on no evidence at all, that was completely disproven the very next day by a study.

I can probably rustle up more if you like.

There has been numerous threads left after inconsistencies have been pointed out and proven by some posters.

And their claim about not making ‘attacks’? Well, the constant denigration of other posters and feminists in general by that poster shows just how far that projection goes.

Maybe they have gone to read CPS sentencing guidelines and fine calculation rates. It takes up much of my working day and I'm payed to do it, can't say I'd do it in my free time willingly 🤣 there's so many hyperlinks so I hope they have a device that will easily support 900 tabs open at the same time, but suppose they won't have the added pressure of their phone ringing every 5 minutes and their e-mails pinging constantly like I do.

I was thinking much the same. I spend waaaay too much time on MN, but I have struggled to keep up with this thread today between catching up on life admin that has built up during the 3 days I work (not FT), and generally living my life.

Some may claim that FWR is a uniquely aggressive environment, but I wonder if those people have ever posted on an AIBU about grammar schools, eating grapes in the supermarket, homebirths, or the Royal Family.

I also note that the feminists on this thread had to be told that a word was some form of slang term for transwomen/transmen, so we're evidently less aggressive and hostile than the forums where the word is commonly used.

I'm not necessarily the best detail girl in the world, but I find a certain native talent for sarcasm and a kind of faux naif idiocy can serve me quite well at times? And Barley, for some strange reason (can't think why..) annoys me a little more than the other prime suspects, so they got it a bit tonight.. I suppose I'm trying to use the excessively polite snarkiness to make a contribution whilst working to get up to speed on the actual information required. Not that Barley deserves it..!

The sad thing is, this is a women's rights forum, labelled as such, and we've been patiently explaining women's rights and why we talk about women's rights on a women's rights forum for years and years.

From the days of the midnight misogynist, it never seems to go in. The rights and needs of male people just aren't the central thing here.

Yes, exactly Artichokeleaves, this should be a space for women to talk about women's rights. In fact, it's the only niche area on Mumsnet where the people who asked for it to be set up, the people who use it, the people it's about are not allowed to object to others who are directly anti-those rights.

Imagine if a poster went on to the SN boards and consistently and persistently posted about ADHD being made up, or how disability services were anti-the-able-bodied, or that too much money was being given via social welfare etc. Or a poster went on to The Staff Room to persistently complain about teachers, etc etc.

It wouldn't be allowed.

It is useful to have posters like Barley for the lurkers, but the issue then becomes that every disinformative post has to be countered or it's treated as a gotcha - "see no-one corrected the post therefore it's true"

It's so time-consuming. And boring.

Don’t worry. The habits of some posters have been honed over years and different entities.

But the tactics are very noticeable once you realise the pattern.

And they are classic trans activist tactics meant to evoke a reaction. I have found lately the reaction it has on me is laughter. barely has admitted they use hyperbole and over exaggeration for dramatic effect (after not providing any evidence on more than one detransitioner claiming to have retransitioned after feminist abuse) after saying the first ‘wave’ had retransitioned due to feminist abuse.)

And they use distractive techniques all the time too.

Classic tactics once you notice it and the exact opposite to what they claimed they do. In fact, they really do have a habit of leaving threads without producing ‘facts’ at all.

As I said. I cannot imagine that post was posted with a serious face at all.

I don't know how you women have kept going, having to explain the same obvious truths to willfully obtuse bad faith posters year upon year, but I'm so grateful that you have. Finding this board felt like an oasis in the desert. So thank you, and all who have gone before you.

Absolutely, I'm in awe of the patience. I mostly pop in to shit post when I'm particularly annoyed so I'm very grateful to those who take the time to construct sensible and reasoned arguements.

Women on here are amazing! The way we organize, communicate & keep the heid as we say in 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 is brilliant. We must keep going , the tide has well and truly turned now.

Although, that said sticker threads seem to be barley’s weakness. Always has been iirc.

I think this has finally pushed me to stop lurking and start talking.
