Stumbled accross this on twitter. Matt Walsh, an American political commentator is on a chat show and confronts transactivist to define a woman and tells him that he is appropriating womanhood.

Then after being told that he has 'traumatised' the activists... He provides this response!!

Wow. He says sh*t straight.... Haha!

@CheeseMmmm

'Is Matt Walsh right on the nonsense about the definition of woman or not?'

What is his actual real life, personal view of what women are. Of course female. He believes as per obvious. Man + woman + marriage = that's that.

What his thoughts on women other than that. What place in society, how should behave etc. Not quite so fun.

So his views prevail.

Good news?

You clearly haven’t watched the clip. I’m not asking if Walsh knows what a woman is based on his conservative views and whether that is right, I’m asking if he is right on his exposure of the fact TRAs can’t define it and their answer is nonsense in the clip. He discusses nothing about his views on women or their place in society. Do you think he is right about that or not?

Are you commenting on the views of this man without even having watched it?

CheeseMmmm · 22/01/2022 04:09

'I’m not wishing his “type” of people get anything all I am wishing is that people listen to what he said on this single issue.'

Why listen to him?

Better surely for people to listen to women on the impact on women and girls...

Women who care about this for it's own sake. Not because it's an issue that men are fighting over to see which group of men get to be in charge.

nolongersurprised · 22/01/2022 04:12

It’s a bit sad as well that many on this thread - me included - are emphasising that although Matt Walsh did a good and effective job in Dr Phil, there are views he has that we don’t share.

It’s sad because although we feel the need to emphasise that we are still largely left wing there’s a massive paucity of left wing men on our side.

NotBadConsidering · 22/01/2022 04:14

Why listen to him? Better surely for people to listen to women on the impact on women and girls

Because in this particular instance, on this particular TV show, in this particular discussion, it was him who was saying it. Why not listen to him? Have you actually listened to him?

What part of what he said in the clip do you disagree with? Do you think he is right, in the clip to challenge the nonsense around the definition of woman or not?

CheeseMmmm · 22/01/2022 04:16

Notbad,

Stacks and stacks of people have and are asking that question and getting bizarre/ nonsensical/ insulting etc answers.

Why so excited about this chap?

I mean UK site how many even heard of him?
Why would anyone say yeah this bloke vv worth a listen when there are reams and reams of articles, mainstream tv interviews, ludicrous things said by politicians, JKR, and on and on.

Why push this so hard, in short?

And if you think a dyed in wool lefty in England/Wales, is going to think oho one changed my mind! If watch this.

That's vv not how humans work.

They would say who is he?
Why something so random, nothing in UK about it?
How come across it?
What his thing what he do?
He's generally a man to listen to? What else is he good on?

Etc etc.

nolongersurprised · 22/01/2022 04:17

Better surely for people to listen to women on the impact on women and girls...

Well, given there’s a Dr Phil theme, “How’s that working out for us?*

So - better that the Dr Phil viewers didn’t learn about Loudoun County then?

CheeseMmmm · 22/01/2022 04:20

Take weird thread.

Why is man SO important to you? Tying people who say TWAW up in knots happens plenty.

nolongersurprised · 22/01/2022 04:24

Why so excited about this chap?

Because he is an effective speaker and had a large audience and stepped out of his bubble to do so. More people have been made aware of the dangers of trans ideology through him.
This is good.

I don’t see many from the left clamouring to do the same, do you?

NotBadConsidering · 22/01/2022 04:25

So you haven’t watched it? You won’t watch it because you looked the guy up on Wikipedia first and you don’t like him? How pathetic.

Why so excited about this chap?

I’m not excited about “this chap”Hmm. I am pleased to hear “this chap” point out the nonsense and raise awareness of the Loudoun County events on a TV show with a huge audience. Why can’t you see that just because I do that it doesn’t mean anything else remotely? It doesn’t mean I condone him on anything else, or support him on anything else or being led like a little sheep into some far right wing abyss.

Do you or do you not think it’s a good thing that Matt Walsh brought the horrible events in Loudoun County to wider prominence on a TV show with a huge audience? (Tip: this is what he does in the clips; given you’re not prepared to watch them you will have to believe me, but he does).

CheeseMmmm · 22/01/2022 04:34

@nolongersurprised

Be careful what you wish for

So, Cheese to get this straight, you DON’T think it’s good that happened in Loudoun County is being given a wider audience?

And the reason you don’t approve is because it’s being disseminated by the wrong person?

Better therefore if he hadn’t gone on Dr Phil in the first place?

I don't know who Dr Phil is.

I watched it and Dr Phil written on screen. Assume Dr Phil asking questions? Or Walsh?

Either way it was bland, zero new. Seen much more 'lively' discussion on this here.

He fucked up at start the questioner.

As soon as person said I don't know what a woman is. That's when to get in. Keep in control.

As soon as gave answer what... I think female was question. Immediately open to all the usual rubbish (some of which he got) which tends to confuse listeners and whole thing waste of time.

It was crap in short. And for UK person addition question who are they anyway.

V confusing.

nolongersurprised · 22/01/2022 04:36

So you haven’t watched it? You won’t watch it because you looked the guy up on Wikipedia first and you don’t like him?

So a poster has, for pages, vehemently objected to something she hasn’t actually watched.

This clip Cheese. This is where the rape in the bathrooms is discussed

CheeseMmmm · 22/01/2022 04:40

I need to look at this guy in depth to understand that he's somehow... Ok?

Show titles and précis on site hosting them can't remember exact wording and ok I'm not USA so maybe missing big cultural nuances etc.

I thought stuff like-

  • Carl Rittenhouse is hero (I know who he is)
-BLM load of shit
  • Canada effectively bans Christianity. Marriage = as per God man woman the end

Few more different issues stance of this chap in neon tbh.

Feels like I'm taking to his fan club or something!

IndigoToo · 22/01/2022 04:42

@CheeseMmmm
A quick google would have revealed that Dr Phil hosts an American day time talk show. It “hit 150 weeks as the top-rated syndicated daytime talk show, with an average daily audience of 2.9 million viewers”.

It is sunlight, and floodlights to the silence around reporting/exposure of incidences such as occurred in Loudoun County.

NotBadConsidering · 22/01/2022 04:44

So you looked up Matt Walsh on Wikipedia but you can’t extend the same to Dr Phil? You don’t know who he is? Have you lived under a rock for the last 20 years?

Either way it was bland, zero new. Seen much more 'lively' discussion on this here

Are discussions here viewed by 6 million people across America?

nolongersurprised · 22/01/2022 04:44

I need to look at this guy in depth to understand that he's somehow... Ok?

No, that is the clip that notbad and I have been talking about, the one where he talks about the girl being raped in the bathroom.

It’s not about Matt Walsh in depth, it’s the main discussion point of this thread.

NotBadConsidering · 22/01/2022 04:46

I need to look at this guy in depth to understand that he's somehow... Ok?

You don’t need to look at the guy at all! Just listen to what he said.

Do you know what ad hominem means?

CheeseMmmm · 22/01/2022 04:47

I watched the clip in OP! You want me to watch more?!

If not careful I'll bung up vid by David icke. Or Timmy mallet. And insist you watch it!

Actually got an awesome clip for you. Tangentially related to topic! Interested to hear views.

80s, anyone remember the clothes show?

NotBadConsidering · 22/01/2022 04:47

Feels like I'm taking to his fan club or something!

And I feel like I’m arguing with a teenager.

Do you or do you not think it’s a good thing that Matt Walsh brought the horrible events in Loudoun County to wider prominence on a TV show with a huge audience?

nolongersurprised · 22/01/2022 04:49

We are saying (sorry if forced teaming, notbad) that this clip is really important, especially for those people who may have never heard about the rape in the bathroom, as there was a cover up.

This is what the clip is about, it’s from the show. There’s nothing about Canada, Karl Rittenhouse, abortion, forced marriage or Chris Christie or anything else you’ve brought up to somehow try to demonstrate why Matt Walsh exposing the idiocy and dangerousness of the TRAs is bad.

NotBadConsidering · 22/01/2022 04:51

And I’ll give you some advice and reassurance Cheese

If you answer that question and you say “yes, it’s a good thing” no one will think bad of you. It doesn’t make you a bad person because you agreed with the bad man. No one cares really. Your life will not be altered, you won’t suddenly start protesting outside abortion clinics chanting “baby killers!”

If you don’t think it’s a good thing the Loudoun rapes were brought to a wider audience then explain why, without discussing the person who did it.

CheeseMmmm · 22/01/2022 05:00

Try these for starters-

Shadow chancellor (was then not sure now) makes complete arse of self - vid top article.
Nick Ferrari asking questions, he's definitely and well known to be generally right politics wise.

Leader of opposition BBC
Again vid at top. What a wriggly politician display. Kier imo hopeless.
Evening standard not left at all.

NotBadConsidering · 22/01/2022 05:02

And to answer your question as to why it’s relevant to the UK, the answer is of course it bloody is. All of this ideology has transgressed from other countries, particularly the USA. Children in the UK are given puberty blockers because they came under pressure from parents who were taking their children to the USA. Political parties all over the world look at the social trends and policies in other countries because of the influence they have on voting in their own countries.

CheeseMmmm · 22/01/2022 05:03

Plenty more where that came from!

Politicians. IE in parliament.
Things well known in UK and both BBC prog and Ferrari well known. In fact Ferrari vv listened to.

There's loads and loads more.

This chap no idea why anyone would think yep listen up UK here's The Man!

What has ANY of that got to do with the price of Cheese? Hmm Start a thread on it if you want.
