I'm interested in the author of this article and her point of view. I haven't come across Debbie Hayton before but she seems to be a transwoman who accepts that she remains biologically male, and that trans rights should not take away women's rights. I have literally never come across this before (and I am heartened by it). She describes herself as a transwoman (and also in other places, a transexual, which I thought was not allowed terminology these days).

From today:

Its probably fair to say that my ideas divide opinion here and in other places, but am keen to debate with those who disagree with me as well as those who agree with me.

Last time I will @DebbieInBirmingham about this.

DH, we would really like to hear your views on the guidance in NASUWT about how male teachers should be addressed if they say they are a woman, and your views on women teachers having single-sex spaces.

You say you are happy to debate so it would be polite of you to answer women on this forum.

Women have been asking Dr Hayton about this guidance for years and I don’t know if anyone’s had an answer yet. If they have, I haven’t seen it.

I'd also like to know how going out dressed as a woman is upholding women's rights, when it's a fetish that subordinates women?
ArabellaScott · 04/01/2022 19:29

'No'?

A blunt 'no' to women asking you to respect our boundaries and consent?

I am genuinely shocked.

I'm not. Much of the attraction is the lack of consent.

RepentMotherfucker · 04/01/2022 20:26

That is truly vile.

Old school TS just getting on with their lives my arse. I have been saying this on MN every time some idiot brings up what they refer to as an 'honour system' which apparently used to be in place (no-one asked us, or ever mentioned it, but apparently) and that's just made me think how right I am to do so. Disgusting misogyny.

simmonslulu · 04/01/2022 20:28

@MrBIobby

Virtually none.

Well that's not true either is it Robin. 😉

No it is not true I am a transwoman who accepts biological reality that I have a male body no amount of HRT and surgery can alter that.

I tried to engage in debate but after 28 pages of thread MNHQ deleted the whole lot.

I am on Twitter feel free to engage with me whatever you think of me and what I am, I do not hate or cancel you because you may have an opinion different to mine.

@simmons_luiza is my handle

MiladyBerserko · 04/01/2022 20:30

Come on then DH. Answers re. the teaching guidance please.

There is no way that you are not reading this thread.

MiladyBerserko · 04/01/2022 20:33

Not sure posting your twitter handle is in the 'guidelines'.

mammajustkilledagnat · 04/01/2022 21:35

I also would like the question answered Debbie. I follow you on Twitter and appreciate your voice in this debate, but cannot square this with your work on the NASUWT. I would like to know one way or the other what you stand for.

So report it
RufustheFloralmissingreindeer · 04/01/2022 22:44

So report it

People on this board dont tend to be very ‘reporty*

Useful to know if you are on any other boards though

TinselAngel · 04/01/2022 23:11

Given it's a brand new Twitter account I'd suggest women don't set too much store by that offer.

MiladyBerserko · 04/01/2022 23:18

This is the Feminist Board. Women's Rights.

URL: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/womens_rights

Of course we want to seek out twitter accounts of males to discuss with them their identity issues.

If I wanted to do that I could have stayed married and cut out the middle person.
EmpressaurusWitchDoesntBurn · 05/01/2022 07:57

Anyone who does respond to the twitter account may want to be careful not to post anything that could link their own Twitter & MN accounts.

mammajustkilledagnat · 05/01/2022 14:43

Answer came there none.

HoardingSamphireSaurus · 05/01/2022 15:17

@simmonslulu

On the off chance you made an hoinest offer, and for anyoine reading this wondering whay, we have had such offers many times before.

"Oh, do come and talk to me off Mumsnet" comes the cry. TERVEN bitch gets her identity revealed, accounts linked etc. So we don't do it. More we actively distrust those who suggest it.

Didn't MimmyBirthingPerson try it too?

It is an honest offer, I am unaware of the previous history but I hope you can believe that not everyone should be tarred with the same brush.

It is up to you hope to see you on the other side

Artichokeleaves · 05/01/2022 16:16

It does not have to be the poster personally who does the doxxing. There are plenty of self appointed monitors who dedicate their lives to ensuring women here are punished for their sins of not being male centric who would be truly delighted to do this for you.

What posters here are gently trying to hint to you is that it would be a stupid and risky thing for any poster to do, and generally something that those who care about women would not really advise.

HoardingSamphireSaurus · 05/01/2022 16:17

Nope. And I am not even sorry.

I don't believe. And It is nothing to do with lumping you in with anyone else. It's called personal safeguarding. That and not being on the cesspit that is Twitter.

If you want to talk openly and ribustly with gender critical women then this is the space many of us choose. Because even with the ever more constrictive T+Cs for this specific forum it offers us a freer voice with slightly more security than many other places.

And of you think that is overly suspicious I can only refer you to the grwoing number of women who have been doxxed, lost jobs, received direct and personal threats and been dragged through courts.

No.Thank.You!

simmonslulu · 05/01/2022 16:21

'If you want to talk openly and ribustly with gender critical women then this is the space many of us choose. Because even with the ever more constrictive T+Cs for this specific forum it offers us a freer voice with slightly more security than many other places'.

Good let us debate here, as it has been explained to me above that Twitter is not a safe venue.

PurgatoryOfPotholes · 05/01/2022 16:22

What is wrong with talking on mumsnet? Why would we walk to switch to a 280-character micro-blogging site, when you're permitted 15,000 characters per post here?

PurgatoryOfPotholes · 05/01/2022 16:23
