They were. They will have done a social media check I’m sure, no one wouldn’t these days. I don’t buy they didn’t.

The problem is they thought this was fine.

If it was a woman it wouldn’t be fine, but the poor tw are just finding their feet with social rules for women and just got too enthusiastic at finally being their inner woman and let’s just support them finding their feet and learning to celebrate their sexual womanhood and offer our gracious support as we are honoured by their bravery. This can help us all grow as woman. We should be grateful to have such an opportunity to extend compassion.

We know that these kind of people need to be in female spaces for (at the very least) validation of their female identities. But those who haven’t fallen down the rabbit hole and choose to look away and remain pure only believe they are doing good by allowing one of the most marginalised in society be included.

I've been wondering about this today, too.

Is it enough to allow trans identifying men and boys into Girl Guides? Isn't their logic that all women's spaces should be open to all men? The abolition of women's spaces?

This is why my dd is isn't in Guides. All her friends go. I'd rather send her to the dodgy 'Spoons up by the bus station for an hour every Monday tbh.

I'm a GG leader and, as many PP have, emailed and tweeted to complain.

However, this person isn't a 'senior leader' in the scale of the organisation - that title makes it sound much more grand than it is. The equivalent would be an area manager in charge if 7 or 8 shops.

It's unacceptable that this person has ANY role, but they are barely more than a group leader.

At least you know exactly what you are getting there, unlike in the Guides who are pretending to be one thing and are something else entirely.

I notice the policy copied above also singles out participating in war games as an unacceptable activity. Like, for example, collecting replica firearms, role-playing and posing with them, those kind of war games? Grrr.
