So, the Hogwarts turncoats are getting back together, sans Rowling.

They have a brass neck, that's for sure.

Happy to ring every last penny they can out of the franchise whilst continuing to sell Rowling down the river.

Zero moral compass between them. Either they back Rowling, and thank her for the fact anyone other than their mum knows they exist, or they renounce and walk away. You dont get to have it both ways.

It was the Guardian that pathetically removed JK Rowling from their birthdays column on 31 July this year. So petty.

You know what the great thing is? JK Rowling still sells millions of books, and children are still growing up loving them. The films are still doing well, people still buy the merchandise, and she's found a whole new audience of adult readers for her fantastic Robert Galbraith books. And she uses that money to do good in the world, through her Lumos charity among other things.

Rowling's intelligence, humanity, decency and goodness will be remembered long after those little spiteful squirts have been forgotten.

Does she even care though?

Yup plopper, because it's a question they can never answer.

Is a plopper just a big poo?

I support the poster who suggested the merch should be "JK Rowling's Harry Potter". Enid Blyton never got cancelled, it's so chilling how the knives are out this time.

I wonder if the plopped people have jobs?

I would verbally destroy any of my children who made a definitive, ludicrous suggestion and was unable to back it up with any evidence or any personal analysis whatsoever.

I cannot imagine these people being very useful in working life.

When society fully wakes up to the misogyny of the position taken against JKR, these 3 are going to come out of it looking like immature little upstarts.

PronounssheRa · 17/11/2021 09:57

Despite the hogworts turncoats being previously seen as trans allies, TRA twitter has turned on them now.

The fact that they even had the audacity to not include JK and that they turned on her… what a bunch of weasels.

I don’t care for Emma Watson anyway, so I just won’t watch anything with her or nay of the other ones.

Their treatment of JK who is the whole reason they have a career was extremely distasteful.

EsmaCannonball · 17/11/2021 10:06

They have no integrity. They are quite happy to save their own skins by denouncing JKR but they still want to profit from their connection to her. I bet all the people involved with the Harry Potter franchise have worked on projects connected to far more problematic people.

AmberRoseGold · 17/11/2021 10:07

Same for the recent Natural History Museum’s Fantastic Beasts exhibition. My friend and I both commented that we would have expected J.K. Rowling to be acknowledged and celebrated. Don’t think we saw anything- maybe a small note- about her as the creator of all of Fantastic Beasts and Harry Potter. Isn’t the irony that the three main actors, particularly the boys, were not actually that good. It was the structure of the story that carried them (I do get that child acting is not necessarily a good life option).

PronounssheRa · 17/11/2021 10:08

@MrsWooster

Afshan Azad (Padma P) has just tweeted her recognition and thanks of JKR; looks like it’s Ravenclaw who are brave and true at heart…
Afshan suffered some awful abuse at the hands of male family members because they disapproved of her choice in boyfriend. I imagine she knows more than most about how important it is to protect women's rights.
Eyesofdisarray · 17/11/2021 10:08

The word 'transphobe' gets thrown around by some folk with little regard or accuracy these days, especially In JKR's case. When will people actually read what she said instead of defaulting to "transphobe, transphobe!!!"
I'm sure it's because they don't know what else to say. Or saves them having an intelligent conversation....
Of course JKR should be in a 20 Yr anniversary event- where would they be without her???? Disgraceful

Doubletoilandtrouble · 17/11/2021 10:11

Ooooh, the TRAs are turning on Emma Watson and the others?
