It's a question of scale as far as I understand it. Transwomen are male and so are sexually attracted to women in the majority. So post transition they will still want to date women, not men. Hence all the focus on lesbians rather than straight men.

The BBC article said the majority of trans women have transitioned from being straight men, so are still attracted to women

Straight people don't get accused of transphobia because they aren't useful props to validate the identities of heterosexual trans identifying people.

Trans 'lesbians' don't want to date straight women, not validating. Trans 'gay men' don't want to date straight men, same.
The homosexual transsexuals have always dated gay people (lesbians date transmen and gay men date transwomen) so they don't have anything to be angry about in terms of dating pools. It's just the ones who want their identifies validated who accuse others of being phobic for having boundaries.

The traditional transexual tends to be gay males.

Honestly, I don't understand the absolute bollocks spouted by Stonewall et al.

It makes me angry. Other women are of course the bad guys and men get to do what the hell they want, as usual

The majority of TW are sexually attracted to women.

Heterosexual women are far more likely to find a TW sexually attractive than they find women, but hetero women don't provide "validation" because they'd normally sleep with men.

Lesbians are sexually attracted to women, so if a TW sleeps with a lesbian, they get to sleep with someone who validates them as a woman.

TW who prefer dick tend not to bother heterosexual men too much wonder why.
I'm also not sure there's much traction in TW sleeping with gay men and then calling it a straight relationship? If that's "a thing" it's not been on my radar.

Rose of Dawn phrases it like "the majority of men fancy women, do of course the majority of TW fancy women" which makes sense.
