All I was trying to do was to counter YoghurtMondays suggestion that Dominic Cummings should get credit, on the basis that a belief that you can’t change sex is pretty widespread. Ah well. Perhaps Cummings has joined our watchers?!

It does not matter what people think of Boris, and I personally am not a fan. He is Prime Minister and a PM with a large majority. Civil servants and other senior people within the public sector will/should take note. Especially the suggestion that there is senior level support.

I think the fact is that many political parties offer solutions to problems of which some may appeal to you and some may not.

I do not believe one party is totally amazing and one party is the pits.

Life is not black and white .

Therefore when you vote you surely look at what is being offered, decide what is important to you and vote accordingly. I think it’s quite old fashioned to stick to one party just because you always have . Party politics shift all the time .

I can’t see the point of all this slagging off of a complete party because unless you are very gullible someone’s opinion on mumsnet is not going to sway anyone’s vote.

The interesting discussion in this huge debate that affects all women is how the politicians are reacting to what is going on and the attempt to limit free speech . Knowledge is important.

Check your facts your post is not even accurate especially in respect of his wife’s cancer . And I am willing to bet you have.not read the full articles that he has written and jumped in the bandwagon of believing extracts taken out of context .

Thinking about Nolan Investigates and how Ofcom was slated for not giving the LGBA a look-in and letting Stonewall run the show (quite literally, in terms of Ofcom's mandate), a cynic might wonder whether Boris's support of the LGBA is a simply a smart tactic to mitigate claims of Stonewall bias within government.

Engaging with them is a sensible way to dampen calls for an enquiry into lobbying within government, as I'm sure Stonewall would be the tip of the iceberg there.

It's worth engaging with the LGBA, as it's likely not in Stonewall's or the government's interests to be forced to be transparent about their relationship.

And yet, for all the “tank-topped bum boys”, the “letterboxes”, the “watermelon smiles”, the ”feckless and hopeless” working classes, the “gay gangsters” (and worse) - not to mention the botched Brexit, the proroguing of Parliament, the decimation of the NHS …

He's not being constantly harassed and bullied and sent credible threats of murder, rape, and sexual violence* like Kathleen Stock or Rosie Duffield or Joanna Cherry or Rosa Friedman or JK Rowling, to the extent he can no longer do his job or attend speaking events or party conferences.
