World menopause day for 50% of people

Interestingly under the law bit gender reassignment is before sex.

I've actually just pointed out that for people with learning difficulties it's discriminatory not saying the word women means that someone doesn't know it's about them. My autistic daughter (who also has "mild" learning difficulties) certainly wouldn't be able to tell.

It always pisses me off that so much effort is being made for a small less than 1% minority but SEN diagnoses are about 1 in 10 and it's basically ignored 🙄

I'm perimenopausal and I'm having a bad day. I gave them both barrels.

It’s the total lack of the word woman and yet the use of trans woman that boils my piss.

It's so insane. Delete women but let's not forget about the men who would like to be recognised as women.

There's a bit at the bottom of the website which says something like "did you find the information you were looking for?". In clicked no, said that I didn't understand it and why have they erased the word "women". It's anonymous.

I have also filled this in with the following comment: "I'm a 47 year old male. Should I expect to go through the menopause? Your website does not make this clear"

I was happy to see that today Timpsons (the shoe repair shop people) announced m that they would financially help out their staff with HRT prescriptions.

Awwww that’s nice I thought (Timpsons seem like a good lot) - but what was the Huff Posts take on this? ... HRT prescribed for women and trans women. They just had to get that in there didn’t they?

I've just read Acas's accessibility statement on their website. Ironically it says:

"We've also made the website text as simple as possible to understand."

I think I might need to make another complaint...

To be fair, andropause isn’t a stonewall idea and isn’t new. I’ve no idea on it’s validity but I’m not sure it’s anything to do with stonewall - article from 2002

I've commented. Sick of "woman" being a taboo word. They can all just fuck off, frankly. I am an angry, hormonal, pregnant woman. One day, if I'm lucky, I'll be an angry, hormonal, menopausal woman. No man will ever experience these things. That is reality.

Oh wow! It's people etc until the section about "Supporting trans, intersex and non-binary employees" Women don't actually get a mention at all. But men do. How absolutely fucking surprising... !!

We can't even keep the bloody menopause for ourselves can we?

Side effect from variously poisoning your body with cross sex hormones is not the fucking menopause!

Could it be hereditary I wonder…? Maybe there’s a test you can get to find out if you’re a carrier (or whatever the scientific term is)? And what could the symptoms be? It’s just all so mysterious. Baffling.
