That is interesting that the protest is small.
My impression is that people who are trans tend to be focussed on themselves (excuse the sweeping generalisation and bear with me) - when I argue the case for my rights they counter with anecdotal stories about themselves and their lived experience. Whereas, the women who argue for our rights are focussed on the needs of others - other women, young women, girls, older women, women of faith, disabled women, incarcerated women, gay women, bi women, traumatised women, shy women, fit women, athletic women, women who would like to say "no".
It is not easy to go out and protest if you are focussed on yourself, there will always be something easier, more appealing, nicer to do than go out and stand alone in the street with not very much to say.
