I'm so glad to hear a high profile, loud and forceful woman making such a trenchant, no-nonsense, emphatic announcement about this issue.

Imagine how different things would be if EVERY female presenter, every female MP, every female in the public eye, was as steadfast.

Also, you’ve totally dodged someone like Chaz who sports a beard, using the loo and just completely spiralled because I said toilet rather than bathroom.

How am I supposed to know who was born as female and who was born as male when they clearly present male without some sort of hideous genital inspection. or the fact your logic would allow any man to access women’s toilets. (Said toilets, happy now?)

I’d have no problem with Elliot page using the women’s toilets. However I do thing we need more unisex single toilets for people who might feel uncomfortable in the toilets that match their sex.

Women should not be allowed single sex spaces, even though this excludes many women from using those spaces (particularly some of the disabled ones that Connie is rightly passionate about protecting the rights of) ..... because that might mean Elliot Page 'has' to use the women's toilet?

As the reason for separate facilities is to do with the safety of people with vaginas from penis people. If they want then obv can use ladies.

If want to use gents nothing stopping them. I'm sure most men would not feel comfy having those they clock as female coming in.

The men aren't going to feel at risk though surely. Just a bit embarrassed, annoyed, confused etc.

If there is risk it is for the ovary person who goes into the gents.

If the person born with a clitoris 'passes' (hate that term) then they will use the gents no problem.

Always interesting that it's always toilets that trans allies want to discuss, they never want to discuss female prisoners being forced to share cell and showers with male sex offenders or female rape victims being forced to share counselling sessions with people of the opposite sex or homeless women forced to sleep beside male bodied people. So Conniethesensible should these women be further traumatised by being denied single sex spaces?
